Lack of communication from Pennymac. I had to call multiple times to check status of my loan only to find out it was denied for reasons that i had emailed about, but never heard back. Then once loan was back on track, still lack of communication. I had to check on status. I just went through a loan on a condo a few months ago and that process/lender was MUCH better. SO many issues with the refi that there really isn't enough room to include all the details. From my first attempt to refinance getting cancelled without my approval or notification, to getting conflicting information about the need and cost of a second appraisal, to getting less cash back at closing than the last set of disclosures indicated - all of this contributed to an UNPLEASANT experience.
