Kristina was really helpful and easy to work with
Jenelle Sherman the Loan Specialist explained the process to me during our intial call and Robyn Moore took me through the closing process with ease. My questions were answered quickly and our home refinance from initial application to funding was completed in 25 days. I would call that great service.
My experience with Penny Mac was great and I would do it again. The only thing I didn't like about the communication process was that I was rarely available when Kristy would call me. When I would call back, I would never get to talk to her. I think I actually talked to Kristy one time during the whole process. Although when calling back, everyone I talked to was able to answer my questions and was great to deal with. I had no problem with Nancy Shead, she was very pleasant to work with and communicated timely and when necessary. My problem lies with the previous Loan Officer/Processor. The same documents were requested on multiple occasions, different documents were requested weeks later which should have been requested initially, thereby dragging out the conditional approval, although out of the lenders control, the appraisal report took almost a month to retrieve and rather than leaning toward another option, we allowed closing to be... read more

Every person that I worked with at PennyMac was extremely friendly. I can't stress that enough. They employ a really great group of people. I received responses to e-mails and phone calls quickly and accurately. Overall, it was a great experience.
