Mariley was very nice when I spoke with her, however most communication was initiated by me. And maybe that’s the way it should be because I was the one pursuing the refinance. Also the fact that there are many people taking advantage the low interest rates could have also impacted her availability to reach out and initiate contact with me. Overall the experience was pretty easy and again Mariley was very nice and patient when we spoke.
Everything went very smooth with no surprises. I was always kept informed every step of the way. Very professional and expediant, even with the Covid-19 restrictions.

Communication was near non-existent. I understand with quarantine orders/working remotely that it would take longer than normal, but I received very little communication regarding the process. I requested a copy of my appraisal 4 times, and as of this review, still have not received ANY response from MyMacTeam regarding my request. Our initial signing appointment had to be rescheduled; no one sent the documents to the notary. Loan Officer Merrill Von Bargen was a delight to work with.
I was misled on day 1, and waited a day until I had info they requested, instead of signing immediately. That cost me an add'l $2,000. It went down from there. At the end, they included a 2nd loan for $2,900 that I never requested and didn't want. Then they told me I was getting $2,000 back at closing, which I didn't request or want. What a disaster, and what I mistake I made choosing PennyMac.
Excellent customer service
We were asked for the same document atleast 5 different times . Our signing was cancelled twice, I never heard from penny mac that the signing was cancelled and actually called the Notary and was informed by them that the signing was cancelled. After second cancelled signing I contacted someone that finally got me answers and basically I was informed that penny mac just dropped the ball, I never heard anything from Maranda.
