Documents were requested multiple times, we received conflicting requests about the home assessment, the wrong insurer name and amount due was given to our title company, the process lasted way longer than we were told it would.

Dear PennyMac, I had the pleasure of working with Ryan Morrison and the team at PannyMac. I called about an unrelated issue that was solved. Doing so I was forwarded to the refinance department that ended up saving me a lot of money. I appreciate how fast, accurate, simple, and professional everyone at PennyMac was to me. I'm so glad I contacted Penny Mac to discuss refinancing my home at a lower interest rate. The process was not stressful and the loan officer stayed in contact on a weekly basis, keeping me posted on all aspects of the refinance. Very professional and pleasant staff.

We were surprised and frustrated with how long the process took. We did appreciate the weekly status update phone calls. Also the final closing statement at the time of signing was not the same as that was sent to us prior to closing. It was our understanding that we were not going to need to pay anything out of pocket at closing but we ended up having to write a check. It ended up working out but there were definite moments of frustration and areas that needed better communication.

An incorrect figure on a document led to the wrong cash to close amount being disbursed to me at closing. Took close to two months and several phone calls to get this fixed. My closing agent was not keen on helping. I was given the run around when trying to get this resolved. I will not use PennyMac again.
