Greg Johnson who handled my refinance was the best. Immediately replied to any questions I asked. If there was a problem he found a way to take care of it. He genuinely wanted to help in every aspect of this process, especially during this pandemic. I can't say enough good things about him.

Communication was very poor. There should have been regular updates on the process. At one point, I was ready to walk away.

Our closing date was rescheduled 3 or 4 times and every time it was rescheduled the amount we had to bring to closing changed. When we met with the attorney at closing we were shocked and felt very unprepared when we found out the amount we were to bring had doubled without anyone telling us. No one could give me an answer as to why this happened and even after calling I never got a response. This is our first home and first refinance. Horrible and disappointing experience from the beginning.

I originally tried to refinance with quicken loans and they dropped the ball to say the least. Their closing costs kept changing and I had to keep calling and they would give me credits to get the closing costs closer to where it was supposed to be but still always a couple hundred dollars higher than originally quoted. I dropped them like a bad habit and started the process with Pennymac. Pennymac not only matched QL quote, I actually paid nothing at closing. TY to Daniel and Nakita!

There was a lot of disconnect between people. We would talk to someone and they would say one thing and another person would say something else. Communication was not clear and we had to follow up a lot to make sure everything was working out ok.
