Process was simple and quick. Team was responsive and knowledgeable. Chris Franklin was great to work with. Best part of my experience was when my loan went to underwriting, approval, and so forth all the way up to closing because of the great customer service provided by Carmelita Villarreal. She proactively communicated by email and phone with updates, and promptly addressed all my questions. Very responsive. Very professional. Thank you so much Carmelita!

There were some problems around the appraisal processing. It took me calling PennyMac multiple times to get answers. The final "ok" took a full three weeks after the appraisal was submitted for review. It appeared that there were some flaws in the process and communication was not very good during that time. "Just wait a little longer" is not a very professional answer. I would have expected a more proactive communication process.
