I paid $600 down for an appraisal, which was later waived, and never revied any info on what happened to my money. I was not refunded, nor even recognized, after my inquiry with melina woods. Also, the loan was inconveniently set to close one day after my previous mortgage payment to pennymac was required, forcing me to make a final payment on my old loan just before moving on from it. Other than the roughly $1800 that I feel were unnecessary payments that I was forced to engage in, everything else was pretty smooth.

Austin did a great job. He was very professional as was the other members of the team i dealt with. There is a lot of confusion involved with this type of transaction, and I didn't have a complete understanding always. Also, I was encouraged to shop for lower rates and was told PennyMac would compete with those rates. That didn't happen, but still an overall great experience with your team.
