This is our second visit in my beloved Service dog's life. It was discovered on Aug 8 (over 3 months ago) my dog has Hemangiosarcoma cancer. Living in NC we were able to get her enrolled in the Yale Canine Cancer trial. We drove to Richmond VA several times for those special vaccine treatments and needed to find an Oncologist in FL who would work with us. We have been coming to Dr. Lechner (part of the Referral Center) for 6 months, for our vizsla's spay incontinence. We were in the dark with why our vizsla was getting so many UTIs and having urinary incontinence (chicken and the egg scenario) and Dr. Lechner and the team helped us to diagnose and treat the problem. The times I've been here wasn't fun but have always been satisfied with the care I received. The last time was before my pup passed (she passed at home) I brought her in because she passed out. When I could not get her out of my car they came out and helped me. They immediately took her back and started looking her over, which I appreciate. I'm currently sitting at the Pet Emergency Center while my dog is being cared for, this is my review based on a live experience happening now 10/19/2023 @ 3:30pm. I looked at the reviews prior to visiting and I was hesitant to be honest however sometimes reviews don't accurately reflect the service as they can be emotion based. I hate to see the negative reviews for this place. I have brought multiple fur babies here since 2016 for various reasons and have received nothing but outstanding care and service. Please consider that this is an emergency clinic, so patients are triaged accordingly based on urgency. Unfortunately, that does sometimes mean there is a wait time, but it must be understood that emergencies are NOT first come, first served. Wonderful people. I rushed my senior dog here after he accidentally got into my marijuana gummies and was completely Disoriented. I was so terrified and ashamed but they brought him right back with open arms and immediately began treating and monitoring the situation. I want to extend a million thank yous to the tech Alexis, who took such careful and thorough care of my baby. I was referred to Dr Fiore because my Golden had cancer. she did surgery. everyone took great care of Rocko and they operate like a well oiled machine. I got phone calls at least 2 times per day while Rocko was in the hospital. Thank you PERC for everything
