I have had all three of my great Danes Spayed / neutered by Dr. HANSEN. They have all received gastropexy at the same time. I have been extremely pleased with the customer service as well as my outcomes. Most recently I had a mast cell tumor removed from one of my older danes . Everything was handled professionally and in a timely manner. I highly recommend this business for your veterinary needs

It's the only place in west palm beach and Jupiter area that you can take your pet without an appointment and they'll take care of you right away. It's an emergency pet hospital and they take care of you but the way they operate and how they deliver their message across is not the sweetest. We had to bring my sister's dog since he got into an accident and the lady at the front desk she asked us to wait for the doctor. We talked to the doc, he was nice and straight to the point. He then points us to make a payment at the fron... read more

I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience at Pet Emergency and Referral Center. I came in specifically because my primary vet does not have a CT scan machine, and my 80 lb dog has a growth on his chest that needed imaging. When I checked in, I clearly explained that I was there for a CT scan. The younger staff member at the front desk was polite and checked me in without issue. After waiting, I was seen by Dr. Jessica Martin. She checked my dog's vitals and examined the mass, then confirmed that he would need a... read more

I had a very upsetting experience here with Dr. Margot Hirsch and a nurse named Shannon. I brought my dog in for concerning symptoms including recurring diarrhea, limping, lethargy, abnormal behavior, and a paw injury. After taking him to the back, they returned and told me he was "too crazy" to examine. In the room, he was visibly terrified, shaking and crying in a way I had never seen before, despite having multiple prior vet visits. Very little physical examination was performed, and his paw and main symptoms were not p... read more

My dog tragically died just days after visiting this clinic. While most of the vets here are wonderful, my experience with Jenifer Prine was devastating and unacceptable. She performed an X-ray on my dog's arm and claimed she "didn't find anything." Three days later, when we finally got in to see the specialist she referred us to,they immediately spotted a large mass on that same X-ray. That mass was a severe infection caused by a spider bite. By the time it was discovered, my dog's arm was already in necrosis and had ruptur... read more

BEFORE TAKING YOUR PET TO Pet Emergency and Referral Center PLEASE READ THIS! IT MAY SAVE YOUR PET'S LIFE! I brought my cat here for a simple ultrasound. Under the continuous "care" of Pet Emergency and Referral Center (PERC), she died 4 days later. Due to character limitations in this forum, this cannot be told in full and many details of the repulsive actions of PERC's owners, management, and staff have been omitted and abbreviations used. My cat Jelly Bean, a 12 year old indoor female had contracted a flu like virus calle... read more

Pet Emergency and Referral Center 3579 Northlake Blvd Palm Beach Gardens, FL, 33403 Another extremely unprofessional, RUDE front desk person who shows NO compassion where they all work hand-in-hand on your emotions, milking you and overcharging you for unnecessary extended stays that were not needed and all of a sudden can reduce the cost! After one night, they would not allow my wife in the back to see our dog and allow others. When she went to pick up our dog, it was another doctor who suggested I take her home with flu... read more

This is the worst place to bring your pet to. They are charging me $6,000 for taking care of my dog for 2 days only. When I decided to take my dog back home because I could not afford the treatment and I was going to take to another dog hospital they called animal services on me to my home. They use your personal information and they will call animal services on you if you LEAVE AND NOT TREAT YOUR PET WIHT THEM

Business response:

Carlos, as discussed with you over the phone, your dog was critically ill and at risk of dying, as many of her newly born puppies already had. We offered you the gold standard of care to give her the best chance at survival. You declined all treatment for her and took her home Against Medical Advice. We did not call animal control services, and I'm sorry that you feel like it was our hospital. However, as an animal lover, we would assume that you would support animal control investigating any potential animal abuse or neglec... read more
