HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We boarded our 6 rescued pups for Thanksgiving week 11-19-18 to 11-24-18. We went to view the resort two months prior to our vacation, put the deposit down, and requested side by side rooms, that faced the pool area. They guaranteed this. Upon Arrival, every employee was at the front desk, not a singe person appeared to know what was going on. Talk about completely disorganized. We have been using this boarding place for about 2 years now. Overall we love the faculties and the full size swimming pool for the pets. Our border collie loves coming here and it is evident in her behavior that she is treated well. We would have never thought about putting our dog here if it wasn't for the rave reviews by a friend of ours. The staff are very friendly and show that they love what they do. I would have given this establishment one star but because the morning staff that greeted us at pick-up were pleasant I'll gladly give two stars. We dropped off our furry babies on Wednesday night on November 23, 2017, after being on the rode for 12 hours. I have always been greeted, in the past and no matter what time, by friendly and courteous Pet Paradise staff members. However, this evening we were greeted with rudeness and unprofessionalism. A few years ago I left my two labs in the care of Pet Paradise. Bud was a 12 year old black lab with no health issues. Jake was a 3 year old yellow lab. I told them they could stay in the same kennel but had to be separated during meals because Bud would hog the food. Two days into our vacation I got a call from a Pet Paradise manager in Texas saying Bud was dead. My dog has stayed here several times, and the facility is beautiful, but the customer service (with the exception of the manager Sherri) is just not up to par with the prices they charge. The first time I boarded my lab here, everything went perfectly, and she was there for almost 2 weeks. The second time, we were going out of the country and ordered the forever connected package which is supposed to include daily photos and updates of your pet. My 4 year german shepherd died at the location in Kenner, Louisiana. The only phone call I received was from an employee with a Houston cell phone number who stated she died in her sleep and they had transported her body to Pet Care Center because my veternarian was not open. I had LSU do an autopsy on my dog and she died of stomach torsion because she was fed solid food, digested too much water from the dog pool and played intensely after her feeding. Honestly, this place is a joke, I wanted to set a appointment for my 10 month year old puppy for doggy daycare. My husband had a tour by one of the girls and it was great, but when He began to ask her questions on pricing there seemed to be confusion, so when I asked for her manger, Cheri came up and it seemed she didn't even know the prices!! Everytime we walk in there is a new manager. Some of the employees seem to really know and care about the dogs (thanks Sam) while others seem fake and don't know a thing. I've been bringing my dogs there for a long time (over 5 years) and I just don't trust the care anymore. The price has gone way up but the level of care hasn't changed. The employees seem overworked (having talked to some) and overwhelmed. I won't bring my dogs there anymore. Management is poor and inconsistent.

Disclaimer, this review is based on a site visit and interview with Pet Paradise staff. I was so turned off by the visit that I never opted to pay for their services. I have a 7 month old dog who will need doggy day care. Basically the place has no active manager. They either quit or left and the "senior staff" left at this location are basically doing double duty, working as your dog's attendants and trying to do management work they might not know how to do.
