Thay came and filled our tank, which was near empty, withn a couple of days after calling them. And they deliver the oil before it has a chance to run out, so things are going normally without any problems.
These people have been the best since we got them last year. The service man are friendly and helpful. They answered every question we had. We asked for a salesman to come last year when we first bought the house and see if we needed a new tank and air conditioner compressor and he walked out of the house not selling us anything. He said we and I would not sell you anything you don't need. He was honest and that impressed me so much. I have used Petro for about 6 years. We basically have nothing to do with each other: they deliver my oil and I pay their bill. They did come out and repair my furnace once, and that was also reasonably priced.
Their Salesman was very knowledgable and respectful. They did not do a hard sell but let us take our time getting other quotes and making a descision. The team that removed and replaced our equipmment was efficent and hard-working. They left the basement cleaner than when they found it. Even after a very long day of work the two gentelmen spent extra time reviewing our new heating and water heater systems with us. I really haven't been happy with them. I find their prices to be very high, but the quality of work is ok. They sent someone to do the maintenance on the boiler and he didn't really seem to know what he was doing. He changes two filters and the nozzle on my oil furnace so he has about $8 invested and spends less than an hour of his time doing the work so to me it's a waste of money. They did a really good job. They came out on Christmas Eve or Christmas day and fixed the issue with our boiler. They are reliable and the quality of their work was very good. They didn’t have the part for the boiler but knew someone who did. They went and got it from them who happened to be one of their customers. They always clean up after themselves which is wonderful. They are some of the few people that I know in Rhode Island who come over when they say they would.
It has worked very well and has been very energy efficient. I am very glad we did it. The work was very satisfactory. They were very courterous and clean. I would recommend them.
Oil delivery was fine, although Petro tended to be more expensive per gallon than some other companies. Service was OK, and they did come out after midnight once, when our boiler had issues. However, they did a bad job of installing our new oil tank, failing to replace the intake pipe, which now leaks. They are also not good on customer service on the phone--you get random call centers and people who don't know you or your service agreement.
