I hate to have to do this to Immediate MD - but they need to take some action. A couple months back I received superior service at the Jefferson Park location and this Lincoln Park location for an abscess incision and drainage and follow-ups. Here is the problem - who is the receptionist at this Lincoln Park location related to? It has to be someone because there is no way, in 2015 with providers so keenly aware of the competition at clinics they face, they would allow such an unprofessional, rude person to work there. The doctor was good not an issue. Issue is they billed my insurance company twice, total of 460.00 for a cold. When I called to ask about the bill they said it was the billers fault not theirs. They were not going to change a thing. I have contacted the insurance company. JMHO this is fraud.
I've been seen at this place twice during the past year. The staff is always nice and there is never a long wait. The first time I went the doctor was wonderful! She was comforting and professional. The second time I went, I saw a Dr. Richardson. She was rude and unprofessional to the point where I would NEVER return to this location even though I have had good experiences in the past with other doctors.
Initially, I thought this place was pretty great (close by, clean, people were nice). My 2 year old daughter fell down on the sidewalk and sliced her chin open one afternoon, so we walked down to the Immediate MD to see if stitches were needed. This was at 5pm on a weeknight. We finally saw a nurse at about 6:30pm, who cleaned out the cut and told me that she probably doesn't need stitches but that the doctor will confirm. About 45 minutes later, we saw the doctor, who was fantastic, especially with kids, but really just tol... read more
Incompetent practice that insults their patients. I have worked in healthcare for 12 years and among other tests, I am required to have a TB Reading annually. I went to Immediate MD Tuesday to have this done, waited almost an hour for a test that takes five minutes, left, and returned the next day when I had more time. I was quick to get in and out and the staff was very nice and welcoming. However, after the test was administered I was told to come back "ANYTIME ON SATURDAY OR SUNDAY" for the reading, which for the las... read more
It is extremely rare for me to make a negative review but I wish it was possible to give 0 or 0.5 stars. The pros? Was seen almost immediately upon visiting and they had Rice Krispie treats in the lobby. Also, the receptionist and woman who did the billing were extremely friendly and helpful. The nurse and doctor could not have been colder. The doctor was condescending, treated me like an idiot, and completely misdiagnosed my injury. I went in for pain on the top of my foot after a marathon...not soreness or aches. Pain lev... read more
I went in because I get bad throat infections ~once every year or two and sometimes they are bacterial. I got into the room and nurse took vitals. 15 mins later the doc rolled in and immediately told me it was viral. I probed her a bit more and she opted for the strep test 2 minutes later (I was mainly interested because I didn't want to have to go back so why not since they are harmless). They gave me some instant strep test where they draw blood from my finger. The nurse had to prick me 3 times and in the end she jus... read more
I caution the reviewer who only had a $30 co-pay. Wait until you receive your final bill. I made a $20 co-pay at the time of service and received a bill six months later for $376, of which I owed $187 ... for a strep test?!?!? When I inquired they told me that they had to bill me as a "new patient" which represented $260 of the $376 bill. I certainly won't be going back so becoming a new patient in their system is irrelevant to me. I will pay the bill, as I won't run the risk of jeopardizing my credit score, but I h... read more
I have to write a review, because this was such a bad experience and I think people who are seeking medical care deserve more than great parking and quick service. They deserve a correct diagnoses. I had pinkeye. I wanted to get medication fast, so I visited Immediate MD. The young Indian doctor that saw me quickly ruled out "pinkeye" and told me I had some sort of eye infection. She prescribed a $40 eye drop bottle and told me it should be better within 3 days. Bill was $260 for this service. Three days later my eye ... read more
