Total crap mine lives in the shop Total crap mine lives in the shop . Local polaris dealer sucks it's a shame that I'm a easy going person who doesn't like to complain.

    Business response:

Hi Reed, We are very sorry to see that your Polaris 380 experienced some issues. That isn't something that we take lightly, and we would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you about it. Can you contact me directly at polarispool1@gmail.com with your contact information? Thank you, Julie Polaris

Does not seem to remove all dust, green fungus ... Does not seem to remove all dust, green fungus from the face of the pool surface. Also, it gets stopped (temporarily before backwash) on the pool steps which occassionally results in the spraying of the rear windows of my house.

Defective product; Initially poor response from Amazon, but corrected This unit never did work properly. Tires would stop turning and the unit would get tangled in its own hose. I progressively incorporated all the recommended fixes for the various problems, but would still, after one or two turns around the pool, have to deal with a tangled mess. I finally took the unit to a local Polaris dealership/service center. When they opened the unit to work on it, they found that the supposedly new unit I'd purchased was actually a ... read more

Polaris isn't what it used to be anymore I bought this sweep because I had owned an earlier version of it which had functioned reliably for well over 10 years. I replaced that older 380 with a Polaris 280, which lasted less than a year in service, and never functioned properly when it was in the pool. So, with one good Polaris experience (the original 380) and one poor Polaris experience (the replacement 280) under my belt, I gave them another chance, and bought this 380. When it runs, it works well, but it has a bad habit o... read more

    Business response:

Dear M. Dugas, Thanks for sharing your story. We're sorry to hear you've had some issues with wheel locking on your Polaris 280. This is not a common complaint we hear about this product. The 280 is the older and classic Polaris design but is known to be very reliable for many customers. It sounds like something unusual was happening with your cleaner and we're sorry we weren't able to resolve the issue for you at the time. However, we're happy to know you have found a solution that works for you. If you ever choose to consi... read more

Not Recommended I have had the Polaris 380 for 3 years and it's never worked correctly. I had an older model previously which worked fine but needed to be replaced. I have tried all the adjustments and read all the recommendations to make it function properly without success. I am reasonably skilled and open and close my own pool. I would not recommend this product.

Not impressed with cleaning; supposedly new models have caulking inside that peels off. Cleaning efficacy is fair, but not great. It leaves untouched patches on the pool bottom unless it runs for an extended period of time. Does not clean steps well. Drive mechanism often jams with small bits of grit in the gears. Not hard to open and remove, but an annoying waste of time. Also, a few months after I purchased this supposedly "new" Polaris 380, I was cleaning out debris from the gears and found white silicone caulking at the ... read more

Disappointed I've had some type of Polaris for years. This is the worst one. It is only a year or two old and looks 10, plastic is faded and cracked and it doesn't climb walls, It spends 90% of the time in the deep end. I can never seem to get the jet right. it hits a wall and the back wheel just lifts up and it sits.
