Not working properly This pool sweep goes wild. It sprays all over the place and messes up my windows.

JUNK, RETURNED I read the bad reviews but gave the 380 a try anyway since I had a Polaris 180 for years and it worked great until it died of old age. The new 380 was basically the same as the 180 but with some "upgrades" like belt drive, click on bag and updated look. Click on bag was a fail, it always falls off. In the 1 week I tried this model the bag always fell off, every time. And this 380 always sprayed water everywhere even though I had the RPMs and tail pressure set. My old 180 did not do this. This 380 would get stu... read more

Does the heavy lifting so you don’t have to It’s been in the pool for about a month - so far, excellent. No stalling, reverses well, climbs. This is our third. The last one (280?) didn’t last very long - 3 years - hoping this one lasts much longer.

My first Polaris 380 lasted 25 or so years, why not buy another one? I use the Polaris 380 for 2 hours every day. Even being from Oklahoma, I use it all year. I use a minnow net as a cover, no solid pool cover, the Polaris cleans the bottom, I blow off the leaves and small sticks from a massive oak tree in our yard. Of course one needs to replace the collection bag, or tires, or other small pieces of the system, but the base runs and runs.

Expensive piece of cheap junk! Have owned 3. After 2-3 years the “sealed chamber” that redirects water to different locations...such as a paddle that turns the wheels... shoots water up through collection bag acting like a vacuum..etc. COMES APART... ie. Seperates....once that happens....pressure inside chamber goes to “0”...which means no more wheels turning and no more vacuuming. This “carburator chamber” is stuck together with some type of silicone caulk...once the caulk gives...you end up with an expensive piece of JUNK.... read more

Last Time I go for Polaris The Polaris used to be good, but now they are not. I bought this Polaris 3 years ago. I just had to change the backup valve, at a cost of 100 dollars, and now the water management unit is bad. As a result, the Polaris is moving very slowly and does not clean properly. This repair will cost me an additional $200-300. There was a time when Polaris products were good. Nowadays, the are all in plastic and are easily damaged by the hard water of the pool. This seems like a deliberate policy to make us b... read more

Disappointing! The connections don’t fit our pool. We live in Puerto Rico, things are often done a little differently here! We are trying to find a machine shop to make the correct fitting. I can say, I bought this vacuum because my friend just purchased his 2nd. His 1st lasted 15 years and he swears by this vacuum. It even moves up the side of the pool! Hopefully I’ll get mine working. We finally found an adapter just to discover the vacuum wheels don’t turn so it sits in one place.
