Save your money ... seriously Where to begin? I'll keep it brief.I'm actually glad it has completely failed. I can now justify buying another cleaner. You can bet it won't be another Polaris. Feature Problems; Zodiac Support Lacking I really don't want to write a negative review of the F9550, mainly because as far as cleaning goes, it runs rings around the two Dolphins I had. However, there are features that simply do not work, and the support to deal with those problems is not there. Not a year round cleaner - I really tried to make it work Ok today I gave up and decided to move on from my 2 year old Polaris F9550. It still works and does a good job cleaning, when it is cleaning, but I find that I now work for the Polaris Pool Cleaner. I purchased it at the start of spring a couple of years ago and it worked great. Then winter came and I started to have a few issues. The unit would turtle over and not be able to right itself. 2nd Polaris cleaner that stopped working. Warranty not honored - BEYOND disappointed I’m beyond disappointed. This is my second Polaris cleaner. The first one lasted about 3 summers, the second didn’t even last 2 full summers. I bought the 9300 and after many visits for repairs, (the wheels continually falling off and the cable stopped working), I finally decided to upgrade to the 9550. Disappointed. Does not work as well as advertised To say I am disappointed with my investment in the Polaris F9550 is an understatement. I bought this unit in Dec. 2017 after hours of research of various pool robots. F9550, at least on paper, sounded like the best among all of them with all the cool and fancy features. A GOOD PRODUCT WHEN IT WORKS - BUT BEWARE OF THE PARTS WARRANTY AND SERVICE This is a decent to good product, and I originally had trouble with the remote working out of the box when I first bought it in 2016. The tech support resolved the remote issue, although the remote does not work very well in the best of cases. The rest of the cleaning performance is good to very good. Can not express my disappointment!!! ***UPDATEDED**** OK, here is the deal. I have had this thing for over 3 months and it still hasn't completely cleaned my pool! It has the water output on the rear of the unit so as it moves around the pool it blows the fine particles of dirt all over. This is especially irritating when it tries to clime the sides of the pool. It needs the thrust to get up the sides so ends up going slowly up the wall disturbing the dirt as it goes. Great robot if you want reduce cleaning time for yourself and not hire a pool service. Had a new 39x16 fiberglass pool installed, with 8' deep end. I wanted something to keep it clean while reducing my time without needing to hire someone. After reading many reviews I got the Polaris 9550 Sport. When the pool was completed there was a lot of silt from red clay (live in Ga) in the pool.
