This product has been used and wiring is not attached to the motor, per my pool guy. This is a used product.
Installation and Operation Easy. I ordered this pump with the understanding it would be here in three days under Prime. It didn't get here for another week and a half. The outside Amazon box was all caved in and when I opened it, found the Polaris box inside without ANY additional packing material. I expected to see something broken and having to be returned. I was wrong. Pulled the pump out of the box and examined it finding no damage. I proceeded to install the pump into my system and decided to hard plumb vice the quick c... read more
This came defective and the Company is not standing behind the product The pump came defective, over heats, very loud. Call the company and emailed the company they stated that only a Pool company could get one replaced not a consumer that purchased it. SO why sell this to consumer if you don't stand behind you product and warranty!
Quick Connect Plastics Cheap and Prone To Failure Mine came delivered with a shattered quick connect piece, and another that was clearly compromised, as it broke off in volute, forcing me to buy another. ZERO stars.
Cheap Chinese crap Purchased this one to replace the one I purchased 1 year and 1 month ago from amazon. Same model PB 4-60. Hopefully this new one will last longer. The one that came with my pool lasted 6 years. It had an AO Smith that was made in the USA. These have centurion motors that are made in China.
Unless you are a certified pool company - DO NOT INSTALL We ordered this in Aug 2019 and installed ourselves (in an attempt to save a few dollars) in early September. Installation was easy and everything worked great. Used for the remainder of the summer (1-2 months) and after the first use this spring, the motor gave out. Contacted the the seller via Amazon and they referred us to Polaris. When I called Polaris they will not replace because we did not have a certified pool store install it for us - UNREAL!
burnt out in 10 months burnt out in 10 months. professionally installed by an electrician. cannot seem to get a replacement done as the order number in amazon is missing and supplier is not replying. buy new for $300 after taxes etc or give up? not fun
Had to repair it on day one of operation I was replacing an existing booster pump so this was the same model. The old pump was hard plumbed in so I kept the same PVC. As soon as it was turned on the pump portion was leaking at the drain plug. Turns out the drain plug was cross-threaded and the o-ring was damaged. I had to use lineman's pliers to take the plug out as it was in that bad. When the plug was removed there were several pieces of the plastic thread on the case unit that came off the plug. Luckily for me my career o... read more
Flawed product and bad lot. Don't buy. My husband installed pump. It ran 5 seconds the first time and one second a few more times he turned it on. He thought perhaps he improperly connected the wires so he had our electrician check it out. What he found was one side of 115 v line drew 9 amps and other side was drawing 59 amps whereas it should have also be drawing 9 amps. That service call cost us $75. Since our pool had already gone 2 weeks w/o Polaris, we paid full price ($348) for the same pump so our electrician could in... read more
