Install yourself and void the warranty You pay your money and take your chances if you install it yourself. If it fails in the warranty period you aren't getting any warranty coverage. You'll save money on the install, then cross your fingers. It's frustrating to a skillful DIYer but you can understand if someone without the skill set screws it up. The manufacturer has no clue how the DIYer does it. Think of it as buying the pump from the manufacturer and the warranty from the installer. No way around it.

One-year warranty It came with a one-year warranty and that's how long it lasted. (well, it lasted a year and a couple days.) This pump replaced a pump that lasted 13 years. It's disappointing how everything is being made cheaper and cheaper but the price stays the same.

Failed prematurely It initially worked well, but stopped working after 7 months of usage. It should last at least 5 years. I suspect faulty parts or it’s actually refurbished instead of new. Big disappointment.

2 yr life only. Bought this pump March 2018. It’s ran just fine up until August 2020. Now it makes a humming Sound like it’s burned out. Going to have to replace it again.

worked for 1 hour and broke Only worked for one hour. I've read reviews of other customers that this booster pump broke down within few months of use, but still decided to take my chance. The original pump that came with the house, lasted for 14 years. This replacement pump was installed by a professional pool company that services my pool last 5 years. It only lasted one hour and then stopped. Not sure it was mishandled during delivery. It came in the original box. Usually, items like this are packed in additional box with ... read more

Company does not stand behind product even when clearly defective. I have owned polaris two robots and two robot booster pumps. The second was purchased in 5/2020 to replace the exact same model that run had it's course and needed replacing. This is a five minute swap out by flipping dedicated breaker switch right above it, unscrewing two hoses, and unscrewing three wires. Set the old pump aside and reverse the process. After less than three months running less than two hours daily, water began to leak/spray from inside hous... read more
