PB4-60 Motor just blew again after 15 months, bought here on amazon I have already replaced two of these motors in the last 3 years, the volute also cracks easily through installation or vibration, the hose fittings leak in time, product used to be the best. No more for me. Going back to Pentair. Thank God.
Didn’t last 2 years We purchased this booster pump 4/18/2019. From the start it didn’t have the power of our previous pumps. However it is useless now, not nearly enough power to run our Polaris. In fact, it barely moves it. I’m now searching for a new pump.
Ours lasted 3 months and would not warranty the product! So, we had an original unit with our pool build and it died within the 3 yr warranty and was replaced by the exact same unit by a professional in Dec. 2020. The unit stopped functioning in March, but they will not honor even a 1 year warranty as they only warranty back to the original install date! So, a 3 month old unit can't make it through 1 Texas winter and I'm SOL. I'm looking for another brand at this point that would be more reliable. BTW, the motor seems to be ... read more
I received a faulty product. The pump motor had an internal wire that was too long and after turning it on it arced and starting making a horrendous noise. I thought the bearings had gone out so I pulled the motor apart because I need it quickly. This I'm sure voided my ability to return the pump. After disassembling the motor I found charred metal next to the springs by the rear bearing on the pump. looking down into the motor I noticed the brown wire was too long and caught on the spinning parts rubbing off the wire insula... read more
It just doesn't last I got this in August 2019 and now March 2021 and it is screaming. Sounds like the bearings are gone. So I got a season and a half out of it.
Received Defective Booster Pump The pump was installed by my professional pool company and it was defective. I have a home warranty and let the company take care of it. I ended up paying 4x what the defective pump costs.
PIECE OF CRAP ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM SELLER OR MANUFACTURER BUYER BEWARE UNIT MAKING HORRIBLE NOISE LESS THAN SIX MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE!!! It died after 7 months I bought this booster on May 16, 2020 pump replace my 10 years old pump. It worked for 7 months nicely until Dec 3, 2020, it only started intermittently. Waste lots of time. I have to request for the same replacement as it is still under warranty (less than 12 months). If you have an option, don’t buy it.
It didn't work! It arrived and was defective. So I had to return it and buy another, meanwhile the price had gone up. Sucks.
