Solved the problem! Our Polaris pool sweep was constantly spraying our windows. It happened every day and trying to keep the windows clean was very frustrating. We installed this in July and windows haven't been sprayed once in that time. The scrubber wore off in October and we ordered a pack of scrubbers and replaced it. Very happy with our purchase!
No more spotted windows Before I got this the sweeper tail came up and sprayed water on the bedroom windows making a spotted mess. Water also sprayed me when sitting by the pool along with my I Pad, newspaper or whatever. So this little item is much appreciated.
Great gadget I had a problem with pool cleaner squirting out of the pool. The Tail Sweep pro has solved the problem. Very easy to snap on; Polaris cleaner works same as before.
Actually works as advertised! I had my Polaris 380 pool sweep tail water turned off for years because water was being whipped onto the kitchen windows. After I installed the TailSweep Pro, I turned on the tail water and discovered that the tail no longer sprayed water on the kitchen windows. And now that the tail is sweeping as designed, the pool corners are much cleaner. I am very happy with this purchase!
I hope it's sturdy I just installed today. It is a plastic piece and I'm hoping that it will hold up and not break or work off the Polaris. It does seem to reduce the spray volume from the tail sweep.
No more splashes! Super happy with this purchase! Cuts down on "across the yard and hits our window" splashes we had with the regular nozzle end on our polaris unit. It's more like a burp that stays within the coping of our pool's border tile! Yay! Purchasing more for future use!
No more uncontrollable spray Should have gotten this years ago. Our windows and doors have been soaked over the years and covered with hard water stains. The tail sweep diffuses the spray without sacrificing the performance of the scrubber.
Little or no wear in pools with a smoother surface Purchased six based on short life span or excessive wear reviews. It has been about six months and I still have the original tailsweep on the tail of the polaris with very little if any wear with an avg. daily pump run of six hrs . It's probably because I have a 30,000 gal. inground gunite pool which was resurfaced with fiberglass.
Replace Wear Rings at Same Time I bought this after my pool cleaner shot a jet of saltwater on my TV and fried it. The first one lasted about a month before it just wouldn't stay on the hose. I kept finding it in my filter bag. So, I was hesitant to order another but I did and this time, I read the instructions. I ended up ordering new wear-rings to install right before the junction where the Tailsweep attaches to the hose. That fixed the issue.
