Dramatically reduced tail spray This dramatically reduced The sweeper tail-spray which was previously all over my windows and walkways. Didn’t eliminate it 100% but it’s been a 95% improvement or more. Well worth the price and simple install. No idea why the sweeper isn’t fitted with one of these out of the box.
Works Perfectly I was a bit leery to try this due to the price, but it works perfectly and has completely stopped the tail on my Polaris 280 from spraying everywhere (including the windows). Spray stays in the pool completely now, and the cleaner still works as good as always. I've had it installed for about a year now and it's like new. As long as you replace the foam scrubber when it wears out, should last forever. If you don't replace the foam bit, then it will start wearing down the hard plastic component.
So far so good, no more water stains on windows, deck furniture, or deck will update but for now it was easy to install (clips right on). Ran the pool with the Polaris on and when the tail came near the surface no more jet of water spraying the deck and windows (it’s a salt pool). Good news is the tail still snakes around in the water like it should to move debris. So far so good.
Works great - why did the manufacturer not include this as an option? My wife was complaining every day about our Polaris pool sweeper spraying water everywhere. It could hit windows on the second floor and wasted a lot of pool water.After purchasing the Tailsweep, the problem was solved. Works perfectly Our Polaris 280 used to squirt things around the pool with maddening regularity, despite turning the flow adjuster almost to zero. I added this along with a new hose, and squirting things is no longer a problem at all. I have been able to readjust the flow to normal, and everything works! Despite the cost, this thing is worth every penny. I think it should come stock with any new Polaris!
No more spraying my windows I have a crawler that sprayed my windows daily. Even after I had them professionally cleaned, I guess the crawler didn't care much. I put this on and no more spraying.. quite amazing! However, my crawler has gotten tangeled up more now. About once a week it sits by the side tied in a knot. Not sure if it is from this product or not.
The Polaris Units Should Come With This Already Pretty pricey for what it is, but it seems keep the tail from squirting the nearby house windows and anything else that happened to be in its sights. Easy installation....literally took like 10 seconds to "click" this onto the end of the tail of my Polaris 360. One would hope in the future that the Polaris cleaning units would come with this add-on already installed, as part of the overall design of the device. Works Great - This should come with the Polaris 280. Great Product, the original tail sweep that came with my Polaris 280 no matter how low I set the flow to the tail sweep it would always splash my windows. I have even increased the flow to the tail sweep and it still does not splash my windows. This should come with the unit when purchased.
Will not work if your existing tail end is worn down! Works great BUT make sure your existing tail end (the "hose end orifice") is not worn down. If plastic has worn down, the tail sweep pro will not "click" like the instructions say. I tried and tried and finally figured out that the plastic was just a little too thin and the little tabs on the new end would not catch so...no "click." If the tip is rounded down it's probably too worn and will need to be replaced before this item will work.
