The Least Expensive Is Better? We recently had our pool resurfaced, so I figured it was time to put the old pool cleaner out of it's misery. I researched several cleaners and asked my pool contractor for feedback. He said he's been using these for 20+ years and nothing beats the 280. Polaris 280 pool cleaner This is the third 280 polaris pool cleaner I`ve owned. Our pool is a 16 year old fiberglass style. Living here in Florida we run it all year. No down time as our pool stays open. We found it durable, effective, easy to re-build if needed, with parts readly available. After shopping through many outlets and over the internet, we found AMAZON to have the best price and their service was excellent. Highly recommend both AMAZON and Polaris. john1301
Awesome Polaris work perfect. Right out of the box the polaris 280 worked perfect. Nice to have the backup valve part of the package. I had to buy it separately on the one I replaced. Pool sweep came before I expected it. Nice job.
Great Cleaner As a first time pool owner, we were overwhelmed by all the choices in pool cleaners. Our pool installer recommended the Polaris 280 for 2 reasons. One- It does a great job cleaning the bottom and sides of the pool but most importantly for number Two- it has less moving parts. Less things that can go wrong. If you are looking for a cleaner that does an excellent job at a great price- this is it!
Experience of 280 as compared with 380 and 3900 I have a 22,000 gal pool and have owned the 280, 380 and now the 3900 over the past 10 years. The 280 lasted 7+ years; I replaced it with the 380 and after 1-1/2 years of trying to get it to clean as good as the previous cleaner, I finally gave up and turned to the 3900. The 3900 has been in service now for about 1-1/2 years. Well worth the money I have always bougth Polaris pool sweeps because they last the longest and purchasing on line through Amazon was well worth the price compared to pool suppliers. This model does an excellant job in cleaning the pool. I would highly recommend it to others.
Great product We have had one of these in our pool for 15 years now and it is still running strong! Cleans decently (not the big walnuts that fall in, but oh well).
Polaris vs Pentair I've used a Pentair Legend for my in ground pool for the past 5 years and after replacing different parts decided it was time for a replacement.
