Great price for quality product Very pleased with this purchase. It is a definite upgrade from our recently deceased older model. The price was by far the best we found.
Cleans faster and better than I thought I have had the Polaris for three weeks now and it does a great job. I am surprised at how well it can clean the pool in just one hour per day of operation. Setup of the lines and the backup valve seemed to make a difference. So it may need some adjustments to make it work as well as mine has been.
Make sure you know this unit works on the output side I bought this unit and (stupid me) realized it works on the output side of my filter. The previous unit was on the input side. I used the hardware provided to restrict flow on various outlets so the Polaris had sufficient flow through the connected outlet to work. Unfortunately, it never worked well. I eventually replaced it with a unit that connects on the inlet side, and that works much better. I donated the unit to my son who didn't have a unit at all. He got it workin... read more
Wow! Very happy with this purchase. I used to have a Ray Vac years ago, and this by far beats that. Great power and picks up large debris.
Above and Beyond Eighteen years ago I started with a POLARIS 380. I loved the product, a few years later it suffered damage from a grand-kid. I tried the POLARIS 360 it was a BIG step down. I recently replaced it with the POLARIS 280. It works as well as the 380 but has a significant cost advantage. I am VERY happy.

I have had other Polaris pool vacuum models too. Just put your blind faith in me and get the Polaris Vac-Sweep 280 and say goodbye to leaves and debris. FIVE (5) GOLD STARS.
This Vacuum is the best We are very pleased within this vacuum.. We leave it in the pool on a daily timer and the pool looks fantastic.
My Pool is Spotless The Polaris 280 is just as advertised! Easy to set up. Cleans very well. No problem. I had a Letro Legend for 7 years before and loved it, this cleaner is very similar.
Polaris wins!! This replaced the Phantom and wow is this little thing RIDICULOUS!! its so ez to setup and it just plain works....imagine that =] I coupled this 280 with a brand new Polaris pb460 Booster Pump and wow-o-wow is that an efficient setup! love it love it love it....highly recommend but in reality any local Pool store will tell you to go with the Polaris 280 if you have a booster pump....and they say that for a reason!
