While we were seated promptly, there was a long delay until our entrees arrived. Both the server and manager acknowledged the delay, but aside from saying they were aware, little was done to remedy the inconvenience. Once served, it was a mixed bag. The pastas were great, the pork tenderloin ok, the lamb too salty.
The staff at Portico are warm and welcoming, the service is impeccable and the food is delicious. The Finger Lakes has such a bountiful array of local ingredients; it is encouraging to see a restaurant incorporating them into the menu in so many creative, mouthwatering ways. The bread is homemade, and it is served with an amazing tapenade that has just the right amount of heat. The food was spectacular. Grilled octopus was the best I ever had. Carbonara presentation was unique and the homemade pasta with the delicious sauce was even better. My table mates had the sea bass, salmon, gnocchi- all great. We expected glitches on the 2nd day Portico opened but had none, just a relaxing and superlative dining experience.
We had a very enjoyable dinner at Portico. The pasta is made in house daily and the Fettuccine was wonderful. And the 21 day aged steak just melted in my mouth. Service was very good and was attentive. We will definitely be returning.
Won’t be back. 6 pasta dishes doesn’t take 2 hours and the smart mouth comment from the manager was not a good move. Most condescending comment by a manager ever, “So sorry we didn’t meet your expectations”. No you didn’t even meet the standards!!!! We will never come back!
I was so unstatisfied with everything that happen.. we where forgotten about we watched our drinks sit at the bar for almost 20 minutes with no one bringing them over .we watched others get their food before we ever did then when our food came out me amd my friends steak was raw so had to send that back after 2 hours no food no drinks lost my whole appetite .. for something I walked into bring super excited about .. I would never return to this place .. a waste of $400 to not eat .. still tipped the 20% .. never was our wate... read more

3rd time dining there went to order the king crab and again not available ridiculous when its on the menu it should be avaliable every single time they dont have it we ordered scallops they were horrible

The scallops were excellent. I had the osso bucco and was disappointed. It was beef shank instead of veal-and a heavy gravy vs seasoned juices from the veal. It was our anniversary and were told we had complimentary desserts but turned out it was for only one and were charged for the other.

Wife and I each got a steak and potatoe side dish. My steak was ordered blue and came out closer to medium well. When I cut into it the waitress commented that it wasn’t how I ordered it and offered a new one. The replacement was cooked properly, however the steak itself was not a great cut of ribeye and definitely not worth $65. The potatoes were a la cart and tasted like microwave instant potatoes.
