Dinner has been consistently good. The Sunday brunch was mediocre at best. We have fairly high standards and at $63.00 a person in Upstate New York you would think it would be over the top from the food and drink to the service. Service was very slow. The bar area was not crowded. After we ordered our drinks it took a long time to get them. Appeared that there was only one waitress waiting on tables. When making reservation on line you state that the bar area only serves bar food. I was disappointed that we couldn't order from regular menu.
Food was not good, waiter was not great and too expensive.
First of all, we were excited to try Portico as we are big Fabio fans. I booked a reservation for a Saturday evening as an anniversary celebration, and I noted this at the time on the reservation. For the signature restaurant in a new casino our experience was not great. The food quality was fine. Nothing to hurry back for but good quality. The service was awful. We ordered an appetizer that was never delivered, we watched our 2nd round of drinks sit on the bar for at least 15 minutes before they were delivered. Overall, it was a fair experience from start to finish. First and foremost, our Ribeyes were cooked to perfection. The waitress forgot about my wife's side and then we checked on it she seemed surprised as if she never really wrote it down. The side came out very late in comparison to when our steaks came out. Also, there was a very loud couple next to us which made the evening very annoying and frustrating. If it were not for the Ribeyes, it would have been a waste of a night. Our experience was just OK. The service was friendly but needed more training. There should be a difference between the service at the Vine and Portico. The food was enjoyable. I was expecting our experience to be a little more rememberable. Dantan
We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and checked in to let the hostess know we had arrived. She said she would not be able to seat us right away since she had to seat others first. We were fine with that & did get seated about 5 minutes after our reserved time. We were seated by another hostess who asked us if we would like water & she showed us the wine menu on a tablet. My husband and I were celebrating our second wedding anniversary which I noted when I made the reservation. The server never wished us a happy anniversary until the very end of an unsatisfied meal after I brought it up. From the get-go the appetizer was pretty terrible.
