I'm not really sure what happened this night at Portico but everything was wrong with it. I will say the manager was apologetic and took care of us but not sure I would take the chance and go back there.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and I don’t know that I will return anytime soon. The reservation was 30 minutes past the scheduled time, the service was slow and the food was mediocre. On top of everything the restaurant was nearly empty.

Unfortunately, the overall experience was just so-so. We checked in right at 7:30 for our reservation. We were told that we would still have to wait, 'the servers are running around with their heads cut off' according to the hostess. I don't mind a wait, but the explanation was incredibly off putting. So we came back around 20 minutes later and the hostess said she'd have to check with the server first to see if he was ready. I guess he was ok, so she sat us and took our water order; sparkling with lemon, and left the table.... read more

Dinner has been consistently good. The Sunday brunch was mediocre at best. We have fairly high standards and at $63.00 a person in Upstate New York you would think it would be over the top from the food and drink to the service. The food was okay but you would expect a bountifull display and it was not. Even the frittata was really bland. They had lobster tail,but if you didn't eat that the rest was just very average. Service was very slow. The bar area was not crowded. After we ordered our drinks it took a long time to get them. Appeared that there was only one waitress waiting on tables. When making reservation on line you state that the bar area only serves bar food. I was disappointed that we couldn't order from regular menu.

First of all, we were excited to try Portico as we are big Fabio fans. I booked a reservation for a Saturday evening as an anniversary celebration, and I noted this at the time on the reservation. We arrived at the hostess station on time for our reservation. Our very first impression was poor - both hostesses were very disorganized, as evidenced by the party of 6 in front of us waiting for a table. For the signature restaurant in a new casino our experience was not great. The food quality was fine. Nothing to hurry back for but good quality. The service was awful. We ordered an appetizer that was never delivered, we watched our 2nd round of drinks sit on the bar for at least 15 minutes before they were delivered. Overall, it was a fair experience from start to finish. First and foremost, our Ribeyes were cooked to perfection. The waitress forgot about my wife's side and then we checked on it she seemed surprised as if she never really wrote it down. The side came out very late in comparison to when our steaks came out. Also, there was a very loud couple next to us which made the evening very annoying and frustrating. If it were not for the Ribeyes, it would have been a waste of a night.
