The food and service was great, the decor lovely, but we could not carry on a conversation due to the extreme noise. We were under the impression that this was fine dining, but the level of noise did not contribute to this. The room did not complement the high priced menu.

We had a 6:30 reservation for a party of four. We were promptly seated. That ends my positive comments. Ordered drinks, waited over 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. Server was apologetic, said bar was behind, etc. We ordered dinner. The wait was unbelievably long. When it finally did come, 2 of the meals had to be sent back. The short ribs were COLD. The restaurant is designed beautifully however the menu and food are well below average. There are no standard dishes on the menu and many of the descriptions the use of google the figure out what the ingredients are. When we asked our our waitress about one item she had no idea what it was and said “I can find out for you”. My wife and I have been there there twice and been disappointed both times. Honestly not happy with the overall experience. Met friends from out of town that we haven't seen in months. Got reservations and was truly excited. Waitress suggested a local farm raised cut of beef that had grass that was under cover ect. You could buy this very limited steak for $3 per ounce. So I went bone in 20oz. Medium rare. If the steak wasn't mostly fat/cartilidge the other was literally raw. I'm not one to complain because it's not the waitresses fault. Dinner took more than 45 minutes to be served the prime rib special. When it did finally come out it was undercooked and had to be sent back . Servers were pleasant but clearly the cooks are lacking skills

We waited a very long time from start to finish. Three and a half hours for dinner. Following dinner, I was given two different checks. We were all very disappointed with our whole experience, expected much better .

My husband and I eat out often. We enjoy fine dining. Unfortunately, I am dairy free. I can tell if a restaurant has a good chef if he/she is able to make certain meals without dairy upon request. Portico was not one of these restaurants. They were unable to make anything dairy free except for steak, which I don’t eat. I ordered a lobster and arugula salad and when I tasted the lobster, realized they used butter. Now I am suffering from ingesting dairy. My group dined at Portico for dinner Saturday February 16 and brunch the next morning. The food we were served Saturday night was outstanding. We couldn't have found an issue with our food if we tried. However, the service was abysmal. Increasingly longer breaks between the courses developed.
