Our family was very happy with the care provided to my mother during her recent illness. The facility is very clean and offers pleasant terraces and courtyards. The physical therapy staff is top notch. We were impressed with the efficiency, professionalism and kindness of all doctors, nurses and support staff.

We had a very good experience with this facility. Caregivers were kind, gentle, caring, and had lots of patience. My father is 95 yrs old and did very well during his 5 day visit. The food was very good, the facility is clean and well managed. They kept me informed of everything important. His room was nice and comfortable. I was very pleased with this center. I was a patient for rehab and therapy at PHC for two weeks after my hip replacement surgery. The administration, nursing and physical therapy staff did a great job to ensure that my stay was comfortable and therapeutic. I was there for two weeks and felt well-taken care of, thankful for a staff that was careful to check in on me to make sure that all my needs were taken care of. My mother was recently a patient at this facility and received excellent care from all the staff. I would highly recommend this place ,very clean ,very caring, and willing to assist at all times. The nurses and cna's so attentive. My mother felt safe and was happy even though she wasn't home kept her spirits up. When she got released we received the same amount of attention and concern as when we got there. Great place to recover after major back surgery.

THE BEST THING WE DID FOR HIS HEALTH & REHAB WAS TO LEAVE POWAY HEALTHCARE (PHC)!!!! Before I start, I want to give a shout out to Michael who did the intake on my dad. He was fantastic during a difficult decision. If I have to give a star, it is because of him. After intake into PHC, our experience went downhill quickly and it was terrible. Dingy, dirty, dark, depressing. PT staff I encountered seemed to be students with no clue on hip replacement offering care contrary to protocol. Encountered insects on the bathroom floor along with dirt and debris in bathroom corners, walls and doors dirty and damaged, base of rolling bedside stand caked with dried liquid and food spills. Most support staff were helpful! Their "5 Star" claim is totally misleading, and IMO a "2.5"would be a stretch. Don't go in blind on this one! I xferred to another facility after 3 days.

What kind of rehab facility would release you with a prescription for insulin without the needles/sharps to inject them? Well, Poway Healthcare would and then not be available to provide them because it's a Saturday! This begins a story of 3 weeks of Medicare covered care that includes, a rehab facility that doesn't do rehab on weekends, medication provided which is not consistently provided, Miralax provided even when you specifically ask them to not provide it, failure to answer call requests especially for an emergency.
