You cannot count on emergency services with this company. If your fridge stops working, heat fails, or AC fails and it’s after hours or a holiday you are SOL. I have had all of these things happen to me at my rental property. Since their policy changed, I’m disappointed and looking forward to moving.

DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THESE CLOWNS HIDDEN FEES THEY DON'T FIX ANYTHING AT ALL. DAY ONE SINCE WE MOVED IN A BRAND NEW HOUSE THE APPLIANCES DON'T WORK AND REFUSE TO REPLACE THEM! *******SCUMBAGS DON'T RENT FROM THEM.

I NEVER write reviews and I feel very compelled to leave a review for this company based on my experience so far. I haven't even been renting for very long with this company and the customer service I have experienced is HORRIBLE! It is almost impossible to reach anyone either by phone or email. When you contact the company with concerns via email, no one ever responds back to you. When you try to call through the generic 800 line number, you just end up on hold for hours. I’d put 0 stars if possible. I love my house and love living there. But absolutely hate the service of progress residential. My air conditioning has been out for the past 3 days. This is Texas. It gets very hot obviously. Apparently it’s not an emergency unless the temp in your home reaches 85 degrees or above. I told my newborn child this. It didn’t cool him off from the unbearable heat in our home. There is no way to get ahold of anyone after hours to submit an emergency service request. This company is run by money-hungry greedy people that do not care about their residents. It is all about charging their tenants for houses that are neglected until they have no choice to fix them. Run! Do not rent from this company.

This company is dirty. They use a lying background check company called CoreLogic. We were denied because our background check came back with a criminal history. When we called CoreLogic to find out what since we have no criminal background. They told us “oh it’s a completely different name. We see it’s a different name but you have to dispute it and that can take 30 days” I spoke to Progress and they said they could see it was a different name as well and in a different state. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I've been a Progress tenant for a year now. Let me start off by saying that many things things in my house are not up to city code. I know that for a fact. Especially electrical. As of this moment I have no A/C tonight and it's all Progress' fault. I called and explained that my A/C wasn't working and was assured that it would be treated as an "emergency" because it was 87 degrees inside my house. Giving one star should not be a option with Progress Residential, I applied for a home April 21st 2021 they took my holding fee and it came out of my account, I was told due to my application being denied I would receive my holding fee back, it is now May 24th and I still have not received it back, I have sent multiple emails to the Customer service email and get a automated no reply email back stating your case has been closed, no explanation no date to when I should receive it back nothing, every time I call I get hung up ... read more

I put in an application for a home that was coming soon. I was unable to see it, but I placed it on hold with the guarantee that I would get my $250 returned to me if I didn't like it once I viewed it. I viewed the home, and it was not something that would fit my family, so I immediately cancelled the application. I requested my refund, and was told that the program for hold fees being refunded was no longer available.
