Restaurants

Chef and restaurateur Marcus Paslay (Clay Pigeon, Piattello Italian Kitchen, Walloon's) brings a from-scratch sensibility and distinct culinary vision to the Stockyards’ Mule Alley development with Provender Hall. Its name a hat-tip to the area’s cattle-centric history, Provender Hall offers Paslay’s luscious take on American comfort food, with a playful menu spanning grilled trout to chicken gumbo to steak frites. Salads and sides such as crispy okra, braised greens and cheddar-cheese grits are also on offer.

Great service. Brisket hash sounded delicious but brisket was sloppy and greasy. Avacado toast was delish!

Thanks Charles from Lake Charles for a wonderful experience! The fried green tomatoes, burger with fries were delicious. But oh that banana pudding was almost like grandma's! We will definitely return.

Charles from Lake Charles was outstanding! Great service and fun to interact with. The food was awesome as well. Burgers and fries were spectacular, the fried green tomatoes were great, and the banana pudding was reminiscent of Grandma's.

Great service and great cocktails. The burger and fries are outstanding, but everything else is just OK. We were there on a Saturday around 11 am so they only jad brunch and the menu was limited. My husband ordered a medium steak and eggs fried medium, both arrived very well done. He's not a complainer so when he reluctantly shared with our server (who was amazing and helpful before this) just so that she could have the kitchen be mindful with future guests, she notified the manager who apologized and removed the meal. Wanted to grab an ice cold drink, mom had a tall beer while I had an old fashion, the old fashion wasn't strong at all however it was a nice sip and stop. Nice seating outside view, people watching we call it.

We enjoyed our meal at Provender Hall. The space is very open with lots of seating options. Our server was incredibly friendly and nice. We had the cornbread and deviled eggs to start, both of which were delicious. For our main course, we got the slow cooked short ribs for two. It was delicious and more than enough food for three people.
