Chef and restaurateur Marcus Paslay (Clay Pigeon, Piattello Italian Kitchen, Walloon's) brings a from-scratch sensibility and distinct culinary vision to the Stockyards’ Mule Alley development with Provender Hall. Its name a hat-tip to the area’s cattle-centric history, Provender Hall offers Paslay’s luscious take on American comfort food, with a playful menu spanning grilled trout to chicken gumbo to steak frites. Salads and sides such as crispy okra, braised greens and cheddar-cheese grits are also on offer.

Visited for dinner on a Saturday night. Made reservations ahead of time to secure a table. Had a dozen oysters, the romaine wedge salad and steak frites (substituted fries for mashed potatoes). Everything was amazing. The oysters were a perfect size. The salad had a unique smoky flavor unlike anything I've ever had. The mashed potatoes were fluffy (but I thought the portion was small). Overall great service and great food. Sat upstairs and the room was a little loud, couldn't hear any music playing so definitely not a very... read more
Food and cocktails were great! It is a bit loud and dark because it's a very open layout so if you are looking for a quiet kind of ambiance this is not the place. But overall it was great and we would go back again!
Fun spot right in the heart of the FW Stockyards! Trendy and modern with fabulous food, drinks and service. The Romaine Heart salad was the perfect balance of hearty, sweet and savory. Such generous portions that I asked for a larger plate and could only finish half! We had a perfect window spot for people watching. Great experience and we will be back...with friends!
Smoke was a little more than necessary for flavor but creative combinations and fresh ingredients
first timer. deviled eggs had a nice tang to them. fried green tomatoes were the best I've ever had! - they had the perfect combo of crispy texture and flavor. the Paloma tastes like an Italian soda with a little kick. decent wine selection. clean and inviting atmosphere. Great hospitality! Would come back again!
I've been meaning to check out Provender Hall and Clay Pigeon as I had heard wonderful things about chef Marcus Paslay and enjoy supporting local. Started out with a reservation to let them know ahead of time that we'd be coming for dinner. Valet was convenient and we were greeted at the door and seated almost immediately on the second floor. One thing I noticed upon being seated was that we had no silverware. It was a busy Saturday night, we could visibly see the other severs hustling to put together silverware and napkin... read more
Great food, drinks and ambiance. Definitely one of the better dinner spots in stockyards.
We stopped in here after going to the John Wayne Museum. We wanted to try the Duke Whisky, which we did. It turns out the food and the service were excellent. I know this area is very touristy but this place is frequented by locals and we were treated like such. The burgers were excellent, they service was the best and the atmosphere was fun. We will be back!
Look forward to at least one meal here when staying in stockyards! Great burgers, excellent fried green tomatoes, cocktails are always perfect. Tried the chicken fried steak the last visit for Sunday lunch. Wow! I don't normally eat it...now I am dreaming of going back for it here!!! The collards were excellent too!
