Chef and restaurateur Marcus Paslay (Clay Pigeon, Piattello Italian Kitchen, Walloon's) brings a from-scratch sensibility and distinct culinary vision to the Stockyards’ Mule Alley development with Provender Hall. Its name a hat-tip to the area’s cattle-centric history, Provender Hall offers Paslay’s luscious take on American comfort food, with a playful menu spanning grilled trout to chicken gumbo to steak frites. Salads and sides such as crispy okra, braised greens and cheddar-cheese grits are also on offer.

Be warned Provender Hall is tourist trap and not a good indication of the great food to be found in Forth Worth. They have a great location and nice atmosphere, but there food is average. Unfortunately, many visitors will eats here and think this is true Texas cuisine. It isn't bad but it is not excellent. They really on their tourist location. If you want something convenient then I get it, but I recommend looking on YELP and finding the hidden gems in Fort Worth.

We went last week before a concert at Billy Bobs and chose based on menu and ability for reservations. We were sat right away which was great! Price of the drinks compared to what we received was not good. Whiskey sour was sadly mostly ice for $12. Food was good but nothing spectacular sadly. Service was not good at all. We waited for everything and our server never came back to run our cards luckily we had cash and we paid and left. Cool atmosphere and that's the best part!

If you're looking for a great brunch in the Stockyards, look no further. A charming location and layout, delicious menu, great cocktail situation. The service was also great. I definitely recommend them for a less touristy experience in that area.

This was a great find at the Stockyards in Ft Worth. We went in a Sunday evening and did not have an issue getting a table. The service was very good. Our waiter was knowledgeable and efficient. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my husband had the red fish. The red fish was fried and not what he expected. However, he said that is was delicious as well as the sweet potatoes. My CFS was one of the best I've had. We definitely will be back next time we are in town.

All I had was the corn bread skilled and sadly it was very dry but I would still go back to try other things.

Excellent food--we ended up eating here twice. We had fried green potatoes and split chicken fried steak for dinner. The next morning, came back for the breakfast sandwich. I worried because the restaurant is in the middle of a touristy area, usually a bad sign. Not here. The service is great too, even though I spilled my water everywhere (sorry, I'm a klutz, but I'll blame it on low blood sugar).

Provender Hall is located right across Cowtown Coliseum making it super convenient for patrons who are catching rodeo afterwards. The restaurant has a casual vibe and it's very lively. The food and drink prices are still reasonable given the food quality and location. Service was quite slow. They took our drink order about 15 minutes or more after we were seated. The Manhattan and Whiskey Sour both tasted spot on. The gumbo could have been spicier but it had the southern cajun flavor that I was looking for. Venison tartare w... read more

Well, this is located in a pretty touristy area of Fort Worth at the Stockyards, so you just never know with restaurants in highly trafficked areas. But we were pleasantly surprised! The food, the service, the aesthetic inside, it didn't feel like you were in some quickly thrown together touristy spot. The food was delicious, our server was very attentive and friendly!

Daughter and I are here to watch the cattle walk through the street and got hungry. We saw the menu included fried green tomatoes and decided to try them. We were quickly seated. The waitress came to our table with a minute and was friendly. Once we read the menu more we decided to share the deviled eggs, pimento cheese and egg sandwich. We also tried the hibiscus margarita. We both disliked the margarita. There was any hibiscus flavor in the drink it was overwhelmed by the alcohol. Loved the deviled eggs. Daughter sugg... read more
