Chef and restaurateur Marcus Paslay (Clay Pigeon, Piattello Italian Kitchen, Walloon's) brings a from-scratch sensibility and distinct culinary vision to the Stockyards’ Mule Alley development with Provender Hall. Its name a hat-tip to the area’s cattle-centric history, Provender Hall offers Paslay’s luscious take on American comfort food, with a playful menu spanning grilled trout to chicken gumbo to steak frites. Salads and sides such as crispy okra, braised greens and cheddar-cheese grits are also on offer.

They really do serve the best Ranch Water in all of DFW! The food was delicious - we had the deviled eggs (done classic style), my kiddos burger was legit, and the fries are clearly real potatoes, so good! I had the grilled romaine with smoked chicken and was very satisfied. Plus, the service is truly Texas hospitality! I will be back!
Totally thrown for a loop when we arrived at the stockyards for a quick lunch here but it was soo great! A nice juxtaposition to the western themes around it and truly nice. The service was super great. Our waitress was very accommodating as we were in a rush and we felt really well taken care of. Food did not disappoint
Meh... tourist trap, the smoked chicken was the driest chicken I have ever eaten. Over priced and mediocre at best.
Oooh- this is a must go when visiting the stockyards especially on a hot summer 100 degree day like when I went. There are many restaurants around however I believe you'll be able to find a table here more easily compared to other places. It has an urban/industrial/Texan vibe- super nice! You have outside patio seating, first floor seating which is where I was seated, and an upper floor/balcony seating which is super cool- like a lounge slash loft- a live performer was singing and it was really nice to listen to in the back... read more

Great service and excellent food - about the best chicken fried steak I've had - greens had a few stems - deviled eggs about the best on the planet
Have eaten here many of times and never been disappointed.. love this place and highly recommend if you are looking for a cool spot with good food
Just wanted to let you know that my wife and I dined at your restaurant on 4/15, while we were in town for our 35th wedding anniversary. Your food and drinks were great( especially the country fried steak) but what are experience special, was the great service provided by Angie! She did such a great job, and even wrote a small "Happy Anniversary " note on our receipt. We dine out a lot , and great service is very hard to find these days. We really appreciate it, when it happens, and try to let management know. We both work... read more
