I called over debit card renewal confusion and was left frustrated and in tears due to the lack of assistance and blatant disregard to my problem. Instead, I was asked numerous security questions, ignored when asking for help (mind you this is the first time I've had to call the bank on my behalf), and after five minutes of this frustration, referred to someone else who, in less than thirty seconds, answered my initial question.
Terrible. I have had 3 brand new car loans with them. Never missed 1 payment. Have a checking acct that has never been overdrawn. Applied for a loan for my new car and was denied. They're supposed to be there for their members. I went thru another bank, got a better rate. I traded the vehicle financed with them. All I have left is a personal loan. Oh ya, never missed a payment on that either. As soon as it's paid off I'm moving my accounts. They're not the hometown credit union they want you to think.
Beware, bought a brand new 2019 truck on the premise of current 3.24 rate, they are charging 5.24 because they consider the new truck “used”.I could have gotten a better rate at the dealer. I will refinance elsewhere immediately due to disingenuous business practices. I will also tell everyone I ever meet how they screwed me.
I was apprehensive about applying for a loan with them as I did not want another hard inquiry on my credit to lower it further. They sent me through the entire application process just for it to be automagically denied because they used the wrong account. The account they used for some reason was unable to have loans through it. I asked what happened that my account was shifted to this type of account and how we got all the way to apply9ng for the loan before they foind out it couldnt be done, they had no answers... I forgot... read more
I have been a member of PSECU for over 35 years as a former state employee, now retired, and at one time had checking, savings, Christmas and vacation accounts as well as visa and car loans. All were direct debited from my pay, I was never once delinquent on a bill. Once I retired, I could no longer have direct deductions from my retirement check, but still had a visa and auto loans which I received a bill for the visa, and then paid online, and direct debit from my regular outside checking, auto. In December of 2018 and Jan... read more
They suck, if you buy a car make sure you ask for another bank, they will not help you and not listen at all!, if you want a bank that doesnt care about you then go right ahead. Worst experience i ever had with a bank
I'd give it 0 stars if possible. Worst experience ever with a home purchase. It is next to impossible to get a hold of your agent and the other ones aren't much help of they're not yours. Even worse, they sent me my commitment letter and closing estimate only to call me and tell me I'd owe another 5,000 after because they absolutely could not finance the realtor commission even though it was included in the purchase price. Will never use PSECU for anything other than. General banking again. Their home mortgage agents are bot... read more
Beware!! It is a nightmare to talk to a person and get transferred to a correct person if you do not have both your account number and pin. You will have to go through the security questions not once, but every single time you are transferred, making your call extremely longer than it has to be. One time, I spent over 45 min simply trying to notify them that I had been in an accident and my car was deemed a total loss. I wasn't trying to do anything to my account but notify them. If you have an auto loan through this company... read more
Had an Auto Draft Issued to purchase my new car from PSECU. Auto Draft was not accepted by PSECU according to dealership. PSECU claimed it was voided by the dealership. Regardless of fault, in order to get the replacement check, I had to file a bunch of paperwork by fax or snailmail only. (Odd for a financial institution with no branch locations) Then PSECU issued the replacement check for the wrong amount based on rep misinformation during one of my many calls to try and secure the check. Whole process took over a month. Wo... read more
