Was pre-approved for a car loan. The initial issue with the approval process is that their support team was not responsive. I had to consistently check and verify my status in order to get any response and to move my application along. After 4 weeks, I finally got approved and I was able to find the car that I wanted. I was initially granted the full amount and a check was being cut. I called a second time and reached Tasha to report added options that were missing from the report, which somehow lowered the value of the car.... read more
Just wanted to let somebody know even though you probably don’t care but I had a terrible experience with PSECU this morning. I called 3 different times. The first time I was told by an employee that they will be emailing me a land loan application which I never received. The second time I got a person named “Tasha” who transferred me to the wrong department and was on hold for 30 min. The 3rd time called I got “Tasha” again who said she would transfer me and then hung up immediately which I would assume was on purpose.
Customer service is absolutely terrible. Their website/phone app are even worse. Can't do anything through their online access points and can't get anyone to help you. First and last time doing business with these clowns.
I called over debit card renewal confusion and was left frustrated and in tears due to the lack of assistance and blatant disregard to my problem. Instead, I was asked numerous security questions, ignored when asking for help (mind you this is the first time I've had to call the bank on my behalf), and after five minutes of this frustration, referred to someone else who, in less than thirty seconds, answered my initial question.
Terrible. I have had 3 brand new car loans with them. Never missed 1 payment. Have a checking acct that has never been overdrawn. Applied for a loan for my new car and was denied. They're supposed to be there for their members. I went thru another bank, got a better rate. I traded the vehicle financed with them. All I have left is a personal loan. Oh ya, never missed a payment on that either. As soon as it's paid off I'm moving my accounts. They're not the hometown credit union they want you to think.
Beware, bought a brand new 2019 truck on the premise of current 3.24 rate, they are charging 5.24 because they consider the new truck “used”.I could have gotten a better rate at the dealer. I will refinance elsewhere immediately due to disingenuous business practices. I will also tell everyone I ever meet how they screwed me.
I was apprehensive about applying for a loan with them as I did not want another hard inquiry on my credit to lower it further. They sent me through the entire application process just for it to be automagically denied because they used the wrong account. The account they used for some reason was unable to have loans through it. I asked what happened that my account was shifted to this type of account and how we got all the way to apply9ng for the loan before they foind out it couldnt be done, they had no answers... I have been a member of PSECU for over 35 years as a former state employee, now retired, and at one time had checking, savings, Christmas and vacation accounts as well as visa and car loans. All were direct debited from my pay, I was never once delinquent on a bill. Once I retired, I could no longer have direct deductions from my retirement check, but still had a visa and auto loans which I received a bill for the visa, and then paid online, and direct debit from my regular outside checking, auto. They suck, if you buy a car make sure you ask for another bank, they will not help you and not listen at all!, if you want a bank that doesnt care about you then go right ahead. Worst experience i ever had with a bank
