I've never have had a worse experience in getting my Home Equity Loan. With this bank you sacrifice every ounce of customer service and communication for a lower rate. Yes, great rates but what a nightmare my loan process was, it took weeks for anyone to get back with me about a decision, and I have GREAT credit and credit history. I've spent HOURS on hold waiting on support, just to get the status of my loan. Been a member over 30 years. Have taken out numerous auto, and personal loans, and never late with a payment. My credit score has dropped, and now they won’t approve a personal loan, although others are clambering to loan me the money, but at a much higher interest rate. Certainly won’t rule out racial bias, because it’s been proven in court that that’s not beyond their scope. They force THEIR MEMBERS to borrow from other banks with astronomical interest rates. Every single step of the process with this bank has been like pulling teeth. I try to apply online for a personal loan, and the website won't load, have to call and find out their system doesn't work with Google Chrome. Sigh.... ok. Finally get the loan app submitted on a Saturday and Tuesday rolls around and still haven't heard from anyone or received any email, so I call. The highly advertised VISA advance interest rates are plainly deceptive and should be investigated by the attorney general’s consumer affairs division. If a VISA advance is taken consumers lose the grace period on interest charges on daily purchases, which are then subject to double digit interest rates effectively raising the VISA advance rate for customers to very high levels. Trying to open a new account has been a nightmare...several online sessions, many phone calls...now waiting for US Mail. It seems PSECU isn't really interested in new customers...the process so far has been way too time consuming. BTW, I opened a Marcus account at JP Morgan in NYC is less than 10 minutes, including the initial funding. PSECU needs some help in customer service!!

15 year customer. Their customer service is poor. I expressed my situation dissatisfaction to the president's desk email on their website. I will consider another credit union.

Was pre-approved for a car loan. The initial issue with the approval process is that their support team was not responsive. I had to consistently check and verify my status in order to get any response and to move my application along. After 4 weeks, I finally got approved and I was able to find the car that I wanted. I was initially granted the full amount and a check was being cut. I called a second time and reached Tasha to report added options that were missing from the report, which somehow lowered the value of the car.... read more

Just wanted to let somebody know even though you probably don’t care but I had a terrible experience with PSECU this morning. I called 3 different times. The first time I was told by an employee that they will be emailing me a land loan application which I never received. The second time I got a person named “Tasha” who transferred me to the wrong department and was on hold for 30 min. The 3rd time called I got “Tasha” again who said she would transfer me and then hung up immediately which I would assume was on purpose.

Customer service is absolutely terrible. Their website/phone app are even worse. Can't do anything through their online access points and can't get anyone to help you. First and last time doing business with these clowns.
