So, I had the account for almost 30 years. I got into a rough spot, forgot to pay $58.00, and they closed the account. I called right away, paid the money, and they stated I qualified to reopen my account. So, I did all the paperwork, waited a week. (I needed this account re-established for my direct deposit). I called them, and they said, yes you qualify, let me call someone else to reopen it. Then they got back on the phone call and stated you can reopen the account in 2025. If I had known this last week, I would have gone... read more

Extremely Disappointed with PSECU's Unjust Credit PracticesI am utterly disappointed and frustrated with PSECU's recent handling of my credit limit situation. Despite being a responsible customer who diligently managed my credit, PSECU drastically reduced my credit limit from $30,000 to $9,700 without a valid reason. This decision was supposedly based on a credit score of 637, which is starkly inaccurate as my actual score was in the 700s at the time of my last application. I provided concrete evidence, including my previous... read more

I've been with PSECU for years. Until now, it's been okay. However, today I had a nightmarish experience! I can't access my account online because their login page is frozen. When I finally got past their robot and got a real person, a representative took all my ID and tried to help. She was unsuccessful, so she transferred me to some kind of specialist for the technical nature of their problem. He told me to put my screen in private mode, then asked to put me on a 'brief hold.' I waited and waited. Then I got the robot askin... read more

The new President only lines his pockets with a big salary; he does not take care of the customers. All the great benefits are gone. He took away the relationship Visa card rewards, he took away the 2.9% checks, now climbing to 4.9% until he has it no more, and he took away the 9.9% Visa that Greg Smith had for years, and it is now 12.9% or 14.9%. Please vote George Randolph out. We need someone who cares for the little man and it is worthwhile being a PSECU member.

PSECU is holding my 18-year-old daughter responsible for a check that she deposited that turned out to be fake. They immediately cleared the check and then 5 days later said the check was fraudulent. This was after she was contacted by the company that issued the bad check, and they said they overpaid her and she needed to send back half of the money. So now, even though PSECU cleared the check originally, they are demanding she pay back the missing money. Their security department was horribly rude and disrespectful to her.... read more

APPLICATION WARNING!!!!I recently applied for the Founders Card and was denied. They use Experian and posted the reason of credit score and inquires. They listed a score over 80-pts less than what my current Experian score was!!! I actually had a copy pre, and post application. I called to inquire about it and they say that's what it was. I provided proof and I got an I don't know. I reverified with Experian and they confirmed my numbers and could not explain the discrepancy. Now inquiries, 2 of my 6 were from them!!! PSECU is "lame" as a business supporting customers' needs. They rely on other banking institutions because they refuse to have branch locations (only have 2 - both in Harrisburg). * If you need a safe deposit box, have to open an account at another bank/credit union to have one.* If you need to withdraw money, you must find and use an ATM. Then if you need the money in something other than 20s, you must go into a bank/credit union or business to have them change the bills. They say by not having branches, the customers are be... read more

I guess they used to be in good standing with customers. I can tell you they suck. They screwed up my car loan and now I’m without a car. I’m gonna quit them asap

Completely inconvenient for a credit union as you have to have a 'full' account to do something as routine as external bank transfers. They will close your debit card access without notice if you haven't used the account in 12 months. Also, to request a new debit card, you must complete a paper application and wait for it to be manually processed, which I can do with two button clicks online with any other bank. They also do not do what most credit unions do and give you access to payroll deposits two days early, and I got t... read more
