One star is too generous! Set it up with the $250 promo. Did all the paperwork with employee to ensure the direct deposit so that in 45 days, the bonus posts. Check, no $150 bonus for direct deposit. Wait. Wait. Nothing. Call, and they say it had to be regular deposits, and since it skipped a month, no way to actually meet that 90 day deadline. Oh well, luckily kept my old bank fully active. Everyone said how great a credit union is, but I haven't experienced a single benefit from being part of this one. Don't expect a loan unless you don't actually need it. If you so much as missed a payment on your KMART layaway when you were 16, they want nothing to do with you.
Horrible! STAY AWAY from this company, if you are looking for a auto loan. PSECU was once a great credit Union, but it's under a NEW PRESIDENT and operates more like a for profit bank than a CU.
I was approved for a used car loan with no job in 2014- I struggled to make the payments and eventually no longer could- I asked for the pay off amount and paid it. They’ve been plaguing my credit report with inaccurate information ever since.
This is the worst customer experience I've ever experienced. And I'm writing a review after giving them so many chances over the years. I have no idea why we stay, so we'll be moving our money out. Please do yourself a favor and don't sign up with them - you will regret it. I have tried recently to get very simple letters from them saying checks have cleared for a mortgage application, etc. and it's taken me HOURS to get through to people, only several times to just be hung up on then (on "hold" and then it just disconnects ... read more
I have a family member who recently refinanced his car with PSECU and I have seen and heard first hand how terrible customer service and dealing with them is. Completely rude and legit sighing when asked a question about setting up payment options, also having to wait at least 45 mins just to be put on hold again is ridiculous. And it seems like most people have a terrible time setting up direct deposit. So hard to get a hold of, especially if you are out of state. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Apart from customer service, which varies from excellent to unusable (more about that in a moment) the PSECU home banking platform is difficult to use, with bugs that have existed from the beginning and is ugly to look at. You'll find the bill payer segment the worst part of this amateurish attempt at looking contemporary. Phoning PSECU for help is a crap shoot. This company refused to give me a pin to fully create an account - yet bombards me monthly with statements. Now they're threatening to charge me inactivity fees - What? I was never allowed to even make an account. Insane company.
