I was approved for a used car loan with no job in 2014- I struggled to make the payments and eventually no longer could- I asked for the pay off amount and paid it. They’ve been plaguing my credit report with inaccurate information ever since.
This is the worst customer experience I've ever experienced. And I'm writing a review after giving them so many chances over the years. I have no idea why we stay, so we'll be moving our money out. Please do yourself a favor and don't sign up with them - you will regret it. I have tried recently to get very simple letters from them saying checks have cleared for a mortgage application, etc. and it's taken me HOURS to get through to people, only several times to just be hung up on then (on "hold" and then it just disconnects ... read more
I have a family member who recently refinanced his car with PSECU and I have seen and heard first hand how terrible customer service and dealing with them is. Completely rude and legit sighing when asked a question about setting up payment options, also having to wait at least 45 mins just to be put on hold again is ridiculous. And it seems like most people have a terrible time setting up direct deposit. So hard to get a hold of, especially if you are out of state. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
Apart from customer service, which varies from excellent to unusable (more about that in a moment) the PSECU home banking platform is difficult to use, with bugs that have existed from the beginning and is ugly to look at. This company refused to give me a pin to fully create an account - yet bombards me monthly with statements. Now they're threatening to charge me inactivity fees - What? I was never allowed to even make an account. Insane company.
PSECU has absolutely abysmal customer service. They take no care for their customers security and actively defraud customers in violation of title 18 of the U.S. Code. They steal money from customers accounts and block customers from accessing their assets in the normal course of personal finance. Do not bank with PSECU - you will regret it. PSECU should be investigated by the DOJ for countless acts of fraud.
The most inconvenient and stressful experience ever. You can't make payments on the actual loan account from an external bank, so you need to put money in the debit account you're forced to open with them. You CAN NOT, transfer money from an external account. You CAN NOT link your PSECU account to any external accounts. You CAN link your external accounts to your PSECU but in a few days after it's been successfully linked your actual bank will notify you that the linking was a rejected. PSECU has horrible customer service and delivers no value. Their information technology management is unprofessionally abysmal. It is a horrible experience being a customer because the management makes no effort to provide quality banking services.
