Wastes the tape causing you to buy more, there's nothing you can do about it. Works as advertised however it wastes valuable and expensive tape, obviously planned by the manufacturer to get more money from you.
WASTES EXPENSIVE TAPE This is a lovely label maker- does a lot of things I haven't had time to try out yet. However, it WASTES SO MUCH TAPE. I fiddled with both the margins and the label length, both of which changed nothing. I called Brother support and they told me that the design of the machine unfortunately does not allow less tape to be used. Such baloney. Super disappointed... It uses at least 3 times as much tape as it needs to. I've used other label makers that print a reasonable margin automatically... I feel that t... read more
Don't buy a lesser model! I needed to buy a labeler, and read all the reviews and flaws of the other models. ie they consume batteries by the boatload, and the it can be difficult to peel the back off the other labels. You can buy the AC adapter for this unit for the cost of 1 set of alkaline batteries, and you don't need to worry about your batteries always being dead. No power cord Wish it had a power cord. It takes a lot of batteries.
I dont speak spanish I cant even use this. all the instructions are in spanish!!
Compact but not bright screen and not soft buttons I have the PTD210 and the body is compact but the screen isn't bright (even with high contrast to +2) and the PTD600 has more comfortable buttons. I tested the PTD400 too and it has the same buttons as the PTD210. I would rather get the PTD600 but I do like the compact form factor of the PTD210.
Save your money Awful a refill costs as much as the machine! Save your money
Machine breaks The machine broke within a few days
Lousy screen makes this thing impossible to use I tried making a couple labels with this thing, and it was difficult. The LCD screen is nearly impossible to read, no matter how you adjust the contrast, and the settings for margin, tabs, etc. are very difficult to manage. Plus, when the labels do come out, they waste a lot of material. I'm returning it. I don't really need a *portable* label maker, and would rather have one with a legible interface -- so I'm going to try the one from Dymo that connects to a PC.
