Screen hard to read...not enough brightness! This label maker has the best features...BUT...you can’t read the screen! Even on the highest brightness setting it is extremely hard to read the screen. Very very disappointed! Had to return it.
Can not get to work Machine did not work upon arrival
WASTES TOO MUCH $*(&## TAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, Brother. Your product is DESIGNED to waste tape. I had high hopes for this labeler. However, when a simple 1 inch long label is printed on 3 inches of tape. I'm calling BS. It is a poor design that could have been addressed in design. It apparent the design team was more intent on assisting the tape sales team. Bad idea. DOA Dead on arrival. Returned.
Other than having to hold it at a specific angle to read the display it works great. The only drawback for me is that the display had a protective film which I didn't know to remove. My daughter spotted it. With the film it was almost impossible to read, with the film removed it is only hard to read. I did try to adjust the contrast per the instructions but I can tell not difference in the -2, -1, 0, 1, or 2. They all look the same to me (and my daughter). Solution to "wasted" label. All you have to do ... Solution to "wasted" label. All you have to do is set it to chain print and there will be very little space between labels.
I hate it!!!! Wastes paper & too much to key!!! I ordered this on September 15, 2016 from Amazon as a replacement for another Brother P-Touch that was much more basic than this model & I loved the old one - hate this one. The default settings on this are set up to waste the most paper possible and I don't need all the different fonts, frames & symbols. So far so good, no problem with this label maker So far so good, no problem with this label maker. Only reason for taking a star off is, with all of these printers, you waste a lot of label at the beginning of the print. Wish someone could invent something for this issue.
