A Wasteful Disappointment For years we had a P-Touch PT-80 that was easy to use and reasonable on tape consumption. The PT-D210 is neither or these things. The menus are complicated and difficult to use, I can barely read the LCD regardless of how I adjust it (I have to tilt the device at odd angles to view), and it wastes a large amount of tape. I wish I had bought another PT-80.

... right margins I think that too much tape is wasted at printing of the labels Although I've discovered how to decrease the margin left and right margins I think that too much tape is wasted at printing of the labels. I am usually clipping the left and right ends of the tape because too much white space (non-printed space for labels not printed on white tape) is showing. I haven't used the labeler extensively but have plans to make many more labels soon.

Cool, but lacking parts? Going to be honest here. This is a really cool label maker, but what irks me is that the batteries are sold separately and so is the power cord. At least one of these things should be included. They do provide 1 black font on white tape cartridge that seems to have enough to provide you with several labels, but I'm very annoyed. I guess my reading comprehension is pretty low, but this information should be must more prominent. Additionally, be very careful as Amazon changes the price of this product ... read more

Irked! Really, it works great, but it irks me that Brother always has a way of sticking it to you. It's designed to waste a lot of tape the way my Brother printer makes me buy ink cartridges way more often.

Excess margin after every label. Whenever I print a label, it gives me nearly an inch of empty space after the label, which I have to manually snip off with scissors. Given that it has a built-in tape chopper, it's stupid that I have to carry scissors.

Inescapable wasting of label tape is utterly obnoxious. The inescapable wasting of label tape is inexcusable, it is the year 2017, get it together Brother, if there was a viable alternative, i'd take it in a second.

Such a waste Millions of customers have pointed out.. this label printer wastes label. Trick here is to give more control and stop forcing people to buy your product. There are alternatives to buy off market cheap labels on eBay.

Waste of labels Large waste of tape. Always prints with a 1" blank margin unless you want to "chain print" and manually cut each one with scissors.
