One Star The editor software for Mac is too poor.
Heavy label user just stay away! I do a lot RC building and have lots of bins of parts I wanted to label. I purchased this at a big box store with High hopes. Pros: Quick setup Easy to load tape. Cons: Wastes tape Stops printing mid job and random intervals Software Sucks when making lots of labels This thing just stop a random intervals when printing more than one label at a time. Last Bother product I will ever buy. Was fun to smash though!!
Unusable product. This printer does in fact print labels. About one try out of 20. The software crashes frequently when opening a label file. When it does work, it prints a 1 inch blank label first, then the label you asked for, then another inch of blank tape. The software apparently requires that this label printer be your default printer. Not so great.... Not very useful...on my iMac sometimes hooks up...sometimes just won't connect, even if I shut off and reconnect the USB cable. On my Windows8 machine, it works better and more predictably. Can't leave on unless connected with with the 110 volt plug... The batteries are not charged or supplemented through the USB connection (makes no sense,I know, Brother has a serious flaw here).
One Star Drivers won't load on a MAC. Difficult software to use...

You CAN reduce the wasted space on each label This product is ok - it does the job. It is sold with an incredibly tiny amount of tape, so you need to get an additional cartridge day 1 (I just removed a star after discovering that). It's a little larger than expected (much of which is wasted space for the optional batteries). There is one important discovery I made about the wasted space issue that others have mentioned (the additional space used before and after the actual label). I am trying to sell it as I can't get ... I am trying to sell it as I can't get it to print labels. It could be that I am doing something wrong but I have spent several hours on it and can't get it to work. I am sure the printer is ok but I am not too computer literate.
One Star Never got it to work.Save your money, do not purchase this.
