It wastes paper! Why it spits out 2-3cm of blank tape before each print is beyond me. I print short labels so it is consuming 2x more "paper" than required. Unacceptable!
Tape waste is built into the design of this product Software is not very user friendly, so it takes some time to figure out how to print even the most basic of labels. Tape waste is built into the design of this product. It wastes about a quarter of an inch of tape with each label that is printed. Brother claims it is necessary due to some design feature of the label maker, but anyone who has ever used one knows it's just not true. Perfect for the first 2 months, then live with the horizontal line for life! After I finished the first roll, a horizontal line keep appearing on the label. I looked up Brother FAQ and a print head cleaning was suggested. I followed the instructions and did the cleaning. Nothing had improved. Waste of time and efforts. I'm still using it but have to put up with this ugly line...
Horrible for Mac users If you own Mac don't bother. I can't even get it to work. I let it sit for too long now I can't return it. Horrible for Mac users.

Will not buy another Brother label printer Did not even get though 20 labels before "unkown error" meaasge appeared. Saying it neede repair. Tried everyting. A time sink Will not buy another Brother label printer for our company. Back to Dymo. 10-2017 Now using a basic USB $31 Dymo. Works perfectly!
Terrible!!!!!! Very Very difficult to use. I would have never bought this if I knew how difficult it was to use. I should have kept my old battery powered Brother label printer. I wish I could send this back.
Difficult Trying to sell it now. Impossible to set up. If you're 👀 ng for a label printer go with DYMO!!!
