Received used item. The box I received was clearly opened (seals broken) and the device was really dirty, plus some cosmetic damage and marks I can’t clean off. WTF. It wasn’t even a warehouse deal.
Do not buy if you own a Mac This thing does not work with a Mac, simple as that!!! I downloaded updated drivers and everything, nothing seemed to work together. I'll stick with handwritten labels!!
Not for Macintosh Dec. 2019 I have a Macintosh. I'm giving this labeler away for Christmas, because it's so hard to get it to do anything. Software on Mac is not ready for prime time.
Don't update firmware Updated firmware and now the printer is broken and won't work. no way to undo.

Not compatible with labels created with legacy high end model (PT-9800PCN) Good: 1. cheap 2. easy to use 3. mobility available with battery 4. resolution, or print out quality is better than I expect. Bad: compatibility issue the biggest problem is: it will mess up those labels created with high-end model, in my case, PT-9800PCN. I owned 4 PT-9800PCN printers for about 5 years, now two of them refuse to work. I have many legacy labels created with PT-9800PCN by using brother P-touch Editor Software, and just need a cheap one... read more
Very disappointed in Brother for the built-in waste. Very disappointed in Brother for the built-in waste. Every time you go to print a label it spits out a length of tape about as long as the label we're making and it cuts it off and wastes it. It could not be more clear that this is theft by design. Reminds me of the print cartridges which count sheets and stop working so they can steal your money. Very disappointed in Brother. Otherwise great labels do come out of it. Very disappointed in Brother.
Feels like software from the 90's. Klunky software. Wastes an inch of tape for every print. Get a Dymo instead.
Not good Returned it, couldn't get it to work with my iMac.
