Good buy I wish my phone had NFC. Having to go into settings to change networks is kinda a drag. Good to be wireless and laptopless...
After a learning curve, it's a good label maker. But if you have trouble, Oh Brother! I've owned and used a USB wired P-touch for years so I thought this might be a nice addition for my other office. The bottom line is, once you get it set up and learn how to use the software, you have a label making solution that allows you to make your everyday, basic labels to some pretty creative layouts using templates from their software. Works simply and straight forward with a cellphone app, with your laptop and p-touch, it's endlessly frustrating. Just Perfect for Me I own and like the Brother PT-P700 PC Connectable Label Maker – but since I use it so rarely – it is stored away – and is kind of a pain to get out for just a single label. I have to get it out, hook it up to my laptop (which is also stored away), run the program, print the label and then put it all back. (Wow, that makes me sound lazy!) Great label maker to print from computer and iPad The Brother P-Touch label maker is just what I needed for my bulletin board chores. I just made a map and used the Brother P-Touch to denote the countries and capitals. The printed labels made a wonderful addition to the map. I also used the Brother P-Touch to label the different drawers and cabinets in the church kitchen when we painted. Works great, once you're able to set it up This is the wireless (and more business oriented) version of the excellentBrother PT-P700 Label Maker. It has the same 1" label support, with the easy to use P-Touch software. But in addition to a local PC and a Mac, you can print remotely from your phone (or a tirelessly connected PC). Needs software improvements. Hardware is pretty good. I have a Brother QL-570 label printer that I absolutely love. I have had it for over 3 years and it has performed wonderfully all this time. It prints a wide variety of label sizes and it quick and easy to use. I was happy to review this new PTP750W which is suppose to add wireless & computer-less capabilities to label printing in a portable battery powered format. I wish I could give it more stars but until Brother improves upon a few items I can only say it is mediocre ... read more
Nice printer, but software and WiFi features need improvement. While I do like the "printer", the software that comes with it could stand some improvement and the process of linking this in via WiFi to use with, say, an iOS device -- it's not very straight-forward. If you want to attach it via USB... that's straight-forward. So while I do like it, I couldn't quite give them the full 5 stars.
