I wish Canon made a label maker Difficult to set up. Software is horrible to navigate. I tried printing a 'test' label and the tape kept coming and coming and coming. I had to disconnect from the computer to stop it. Reminds me of the problems I had with printers 10 years ago. Not up to contemporary standards.
Not what I expected and no longer worth it. A little clunky, 3x larger than I envisioned, and very cheaply built (buttons don't always work) but the GUI on my iPhone makes it still worth it. Also, the Half cut feature only works on P-Touch brand labels, but is pure AWESOME. Also the daisy chain print option is awesome too. Edit: the lack of a properly functioning "wifi button" is too much to tolerate.
Outdated Wireless Wireless outdated. Mixed reviews are here because some can get wireless to work and some can't. The issue is that most newer networks are primarily on 5GHz. Most newer routers can create a legacy 2.4GHz network...which this label maker can connect to. However none of the devices on the 5GHz network can see this label maker. I bought this for my work. I tried to ... I bought this for my work. I tried to connect with wifi, it does not light up and only it works with a cable. now, the cable also does not work.. and cannot retrurn it anymore. I bought this 40 days ago. did not expect this...
so maybe you will have better luck. after many failed attempts to get the wireless part to work, we just used a cord, so maybe you will have better luck.
If you enjoy frustrating experience you'll love this thing. I have had good experience with Brother until now. I bought this primarily for its wireless ability. But I was greatly disappointed. Don't know if Windows 10 is the problem. Wouldn't be surprised 1. Networking setup is almost impossible. 2. Instruction for setup is unclear. 3. Printer reported " Out of tape" when it wasn't 4. Two Stars not as expected
This machine is a mess and I really would like for it to work consistently considering the price I am having so much trouble with this printer. Sometimes it works, other times not so much. It seems to be software issue, which I have worked through. I want to return it, but then out of no where it will work. It wastes tape as it restarts. This machine is a mess and I really would like for it to work consistently considering the price. I have a block of crap printer that works here and there.
Had problems getting it to install on Windows 10. ... Had problems getting it to install on Windows 10. Tried everything. Kept hanging the PC. Finally used the supplied USB cable and it worked no problem first time. I saw the warning about the USB hub but didn't realise using a USB cable a couple of feet longer would cause such problems. Live & Learn!
