I bought a mini-split ductless heater 4 years ago from Puyallup Heating. In the last week of December we had snow and the heater stopped working. The unit was still under warranty. They stated they couldn't come look at it until the end of the week, 4 days later. Once they were out they charged me $163.90 to tell me they couldn't fix it or even look at it until the snow had melted. So, even though the unit was installed by them and under warranty I was refused repair of a necessary heater until later. I had to call several t... read more

I have been doing business with Puyallup Heating for over 20 years and I have never had any reason to question their service or integrity. I have had them install 2 furnaces as well as several repairs at my home and commercial building. Last week my Carrier gas furnace that they had installed about 9 years ago was making some strange noises and it was fairly apparent that the draft inducer motor had failed. Before calling them I looked online at what the motor costs to get a rough idea what the total bill was going to be. ... read more

They were no-show on my diagnostic appointment. So it's a good idea to confirm with them to make sure they are actually going to be there.

We are getting ready to replace/upgrade our furnace and are also looking to add a heat pump or air conditioning. Based on a recommendation from a friend, we contacted PH&AC on the website. We were contacted back by Brian after several days, who left a voicemail for us. We called him back and scheduled an appointment with him. He no-showed. We called him back later that day and he apologized and rescheduled us a week later. He no-showed a second time. We took time off of work twice to accommodate these appointments, making th... read more

Disappointed in the service here. We met Brian at the Washington State Fair and really liked what he had to tell us about our options for air conditioning vs a heat pump, buying a new furnace, etc including pricing. We called and no response. After calling again after about a week, we finally got a return phone call after some more phone tag and Brian came out to do a quote for our home. After 2 quotes and talking with 2 companies we ended up going with Le Air Heating to put in a heat pump and new furnace into our home. ... read more

The firm installed the thermostat for system A in system B's area and installed the thermostat for system B in system A's area. This caused the two systems to fight each other and the temperature soared and then dove over and over. I called them to discuss what was wrong (prior to knowing they installed the thermostats incorrectly) and they were of little help. They did not want to send out a technician. Once I discovered the problem, they refused to relocate the thermostats unless I paid an additional $800. I refused, move... read more

I would give a zero if I could. The owner does not back up warranty work. The brand new air conditioning they put in leaked and ruined my ceiling. He is refusing to fix it. During the coldest days in December my furance freezes and does not work. So during the coldest days we have no heat exactly why I had everything replaced so this wouldn't happen because I have two children I am worried about. He's arrogant and refuses to work with you. Saying my ceiling was already ruined before they came to put in all new equipment. Now... read more

Let me start by saying the tech, Jason, is awesome. I had a brand new, top of the line heat pump installed last April. 10 days ago, it stopped working with a Fan Blower fault. I called on Monday to get someone out to look at it, and was able to get it checked out on Tuesday, for a $80 (plus tax) diagnostic fee,for a brand new system that they installed last year. Jason show up on time and quickly figured out what parts would need to be ordered. Was told parts should be available next day by the service person (Katie?)... read more

I'm pretty handy , but I needed a furnace inspection on my home sale. Puyallup heating called and they came out. They report heat exchanger cracked , costs more to replace than it would be for new furnace. Hmmm I Google heat exchanger for my furnace. $380. No problem. I email tech line for my furnace. Turns out they have a repair plate for all of $75. Wow, new furnace must be much less then I thought. So when I get home , armed with information on these cracks and where they might be, I tear apart furnace. It's what I do,... read more
