Disappointed . It Used to be a trend setter. Now just noisy , condescending waitress with singsong voice , who seemed to be on auto pilot . Stale bread, overcooked salmon ( thou I definitely said , NOT well done), small portions , not inexpensive , crowded close to next table . I won't go back . Sad.
Our prior experiences @ Redeye Grill had always been very good, ususally enhanced by the service staff. Our waiter this time seemed preoccupied and alternated between rushing us and disappearing for long periods of time.
Food was acceptable but HIGHLY over priced and the service was TERRIBLE. City Crab 19th street better food much less expensive and more attentive to the customer. Palms 44 street better seafood, equal in expense and much better service. Beware this place is a ripoff.
lovely house bread; cheese puffs comp and comp dessert cookies; food delicious and fair prices for mid town Manhattan. Young but older folks can be comfortable here too.
Decent food but a bit overpriced, for good (not excellent) quality. And they don't need the music -- it's noisy enough without it!
Found the food just OK, but I thought the price was high. No wine, but still ended up paying over $65 for a average meal with smallish portions. I would not go again
The service was horrible. It took almost 40 minutes after we were seated just to get a drink order and service. It was almost another 30 to get dinner. The waiter never checked on us throughout the dinner. Would never go here again.
This is a lovely, well located restaurant with great service. BUT..the food was very ordinary and overpriced. Even the bread was salty and doughy, it was inedible. I had smoked salmon appetizer ($13) and got 2 thin slices, a few grilled capers, some endive stalks and lemon, and 2 tiny bits of toast. The restaurant did not provide the service they advertise nor for the prices they charge. We had to call on various occasions for assistance from other servers as the server assigned to our table was well overworked and not in sync. After I had to get up for a second time to request a speedier service and talking to the Hostess it improved a bit, but no sign of the Manager.
