No service after the sale. Great product but they disappear after installation. I called nearly four months ago regarding a broken glass in my sliding patio door. I spoke with a very nice young man who took down all the info and was able to locate the paperwork for the door and determine what type of glass had been installed. Today the temperature is pushing 100 degrees and heat is radiating from the remaining glass. Outrageously poor service at the San Diego Renewal by Anderson! I confirmed my appointment as they requested for a San Diego home visit quote. And then I received about10 texts and calls after my confirmation that they were going to cancel my appointment if I did not answer more of their questions. I live in a gated community where it is clearly posted that there is no soliciting and no trespassing. A young man came to my door representing this company and said he wasn't soliciting or trespassing that he had been invited in by a client who had told him it was okay to go door to door. That was a lie. No one in my community is working with this company. I proceeded to tell him he had to leave and he refused. I called Renewal and the young woman I spoke with played dumb. Beware of Renewal By Anderson. They claim one thing and do another. we were promised "New Installation" product, and paid a premium price for the order. now that the installation is actually happening we were disappointed in the progress and what is different than what was promised. after calls and renegotiating we are getting hopefully something closer to what was promised in the first place at a cost of about 10% additional. It has only taken a year and a half to resolve the bill issue with this company. I paid half the bill at completion of installation. An extra part I ordered for the sliding glass door had not been shipped with the door. I called the office to let them know and to adjust the balance so I could pay the balance. They had to contact another dept for that info but never called me back. I called several times and was sent to voice mail. No one ever returned my call. This long review is of two separate events with the company: First, my wife and I had a long range plan to renovate our house and we wanted new windows throughout as the original windows were nearly 50 years old and not at all energy efficient. Pretty poor service for the price. Quality of doors and windows is reasonable but not as good as the best. Installation was fine but they neglected to fit a foot stop and a wood strip was too short. Also, the screen door didn't lock. I went through several follow up calls when two of these issues did not seem to have been noted. We got a remedial fitting sorted and then the installer didn't turn up. Our experience with Renewal by Andersen has been terrible. We started the process with measurements being taken on July 7th. When our French door was installed in October it was a complete mess. The panel was chipped and the door was installed incorrectly. Many pieces were missing and they installed it without the frame inset. We contacted the company as well as sent pictures of the terrible workmanship. A supervisor came out and admitted the door had been installed incorrectly and was then reinstalled.
