We own several properties and decided to use renters warehouse to manage and rent the properties, worst decision ever. Here is the breakdown: 1) they charge $99 a month to maintain your property, what this gets you? A call saying you need to have something fixed at a property and they recommend a company that is three times the price of our usual vendors who have fixed other issues prior. 2) The one property sat vacant for over 7 months unrented. DO NOT rent with renters warehouse! And if you own a home, do not hire renters warehouse! This is the biggest joke of a leasing company. Extremely hard to get in touch with them, and if you miss one payment they lock you out of being able to make payments online and they make you drive to the nearest location (2 hrs for me) to drop off a money order. Everytime I call I get no help at all. If I could give this company negative starts I would! Safe yourself a lot of frustration and money and rent with ANYBODY else.
If you're thinking of leasing or renting through Renters Warehouse I suggest you take a look at all of their one star reviews posted at their many locations around the country and you may get a better understanding of what you'll be dealing with. If you're already working with them in any capacity then good luck.
In a matter of 6 weeks I have had two different agents (who I will omit their names) cease working for/responding to me in regard to renting my house out. I am now three weeks away from the date I wanted to rent my house to someone and I find myself looking for a local management company to remedy the mess that renters warehouse has made (ie zero contact, zero effort for advertisement, and no customer service). This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. We were lied to, they make false promises, and fool you so you sign your lease. After that they do not fix anything or comply even with stipulations written on the lease. Calling their 800 phone line is a nightmare. The employees are very rude and unhelpful. They do not respond or care about anything once you sign the lease. They do not care for or about you at all, and that's starting with the realtors all the way to their management. Use this company if you want to loose money. I am loosing money renting out my property with this company. They DON'T work for you. They work for renter who is destroying my house. They lie. They don't answer your calls/emails/text messages. Ask the following questions: 1) Who keeps the late fees? They will keep all of that. 2) What about eviction protection plan($15/month)? It's a joke. We've had to schedule and reschedule so many times to get repairs done on our house. There's still a pending window screen system that we've been trying to get worked on for THREE WEEKS. We recently were transferred (by the landlord of our rental house) to under management by Renters Warehouse and they can't do anything right! I'm currently sitting in the cold with a broken heater and a "promise" to send someone out when I scheduled it for today. Do not use, they are quick to take money from you, but if you have questions (such as, did my renter pay rent this month?) you get told to call an 800 number. You call the 800 number and they refer you to an online portal. After paying them 2500 bucks up front and over 100 a month, they don't seem to think of me as their client.
