The pros: As a mother to a toddler this place has been a game-changer for my overall health. The childcare staff are incredible and the space my daughter gets to play in is fun and clean. Sometimes she doesn't even want to leave! This allows me the time to get a good uninterrupted workout in while knowing she is having a great time. The recently completed remodel looks beautiful. Men's locker room now has a steam and a dry sauna, as well as upgraded, individual showers. I use the competition pool, which is always heated properly with balanced chemicals. I also regularly use the gym, where the equipment is all new and everything functions well. Staff is always kind and friendly. Membership is not inexpensive but it's an upgraded experience from past years. Long time member here...

This review is only for the women lockers, tennis courts and the patio/deck -Plenty of tennis courts available -Patio/deck: usually shady as it's underneath a big tree and has a good view of the tennis courts -Women lockers: clean, organized but pretty small. -Parking: pretty limited on site, but street parking is available close by

I love Rio del Oro! It's truly a great gym. While it is on the expensive side, it's worth every dollar--you can really see your money being put to good use, especially with the updated gym equipment and renovated locker rooms. The staff is also super friendly and helpful!

Visited a couple times and I can say this: Great, attentive maintenance staff who really listen, take their time, and do things well. Swim team who puts on a great event and has great results. Up to date facilities. Ample parking options thanks to the street it's on. Ongoing attempts to modernize or keep up with demands. I have no idea the value for the money, I feel that's relative. If it's worth it to you, you'll go. If not... make a friend. ;-)

If I have my dates right, believe I first played there in 1972. So over fifty years ago. And have played at Rio ever since. Fine tennis club with other activities including swimming and workout facilities. Has always been well run and definitely kept clean. Finding a completive match at my playing level is pretty easy. The club is just top-tier, which seems to be the standard for the entire Spare Time organization.

So far we really like our new club. Pro tip: don't book the lane right next to the kids pool. The kids just jump in it and you have to go up to them and use your stern voice. I never had kids, so I just say "Stay out of the grown up lane." This has worked so far. I love the cardio room. I prefer my cardio room tv to just be cooking shows or other innocuous viewing like sports. But I do like the club because there's someone for everyone.

Not a member of this club but my wife takes lessons at this club from Coach Jovana Jovic at this club. Jovana, a former WTA pro, has raised my wife's level considerably in a short time. Really cares if her students improve.

Ratings tell the truth. I joined yesterday. Super excited with a plan. I was told I could get a locker from the front desk, so I brought deodorant, toothpaste and everything I would need to get ready for work in the morning. I came in today for my first workout and was told there are no lickers to rent, there is a wait list for lockers... no idea how long it will be to get one. The TVs in the gym have been frozen for the past 15 minutes. I am leaving so disappointed.
