Going to Rio Del Oro is like air and money, ...It is when you are deprived of it that you realize that you miss it most...I missed talking with the other members, exercising in the gym, the group exercises and swimming. After the brutal mandatory closure due to the Covid thing I was missing all this. Now we can see the light at the end of the tunnel...Bill Campbell , Craig Purcell and their team have been working hard to let us back in within the limits of the regulations and do their best to keep everybody happy . My husband and I have been Rio members for 7 years. We absolutely love Rio, and spend most of our mornings there in normal times. It is a very family-oriented club, with wonderful exercise classes, personal trainers, tennis courts, and swimming pools. The staff and members alike are terrific. We really, really missed Rio during the Covid-19 shutdown, and are so grateful the swimming pools have finally re-opened. We swam this morning. Had my first visit today at Rio Del Oro Sports Club! My GF is a member here and has been talkin' bout meeting up and I'm SO happy we finally did! For my first workout I attended Amber's: Strength and Balance class which was awesome! Amber's great at correcting form and pushing you to go hard - I love it! I felt so strong after the class and seeing my calories burned made it all worth it. I would highly recommend Amber's class, if you wanna workout and sweat! Overall the gym is great! Best gym in Sacramento. After trying various places and striking out with childcare everywhere we found Rio. My kids ask to go to the gym every day and I am so thankful for people I can trust and who actually enjoy spending time with the kids. The new updates in the gym are great and we are excited to take advantage of the new outdoor are this summer!

I've been a member of Rio for over 30 years. I'm not a person who works out like I should and tend to have long spans of time in between staying motivated. Having said that, I ALWAYS feel comfortable and welcomed by the staff and never cease to observe continuous and relevant Club improvements throughout the property and facility. There's little turnover of staff and membership which says a lot in my opinion. It's a great place for ALL ages.

I have been a member off/on for the past 6 years; have seen a lot of changes for the good. I am liking the newly added/remodeled cross fit section and the newly added classes too. I have a love/hate relationship with working out, but I like when the gym spirit comes upon me to work out, I have many options at my very nearby gym. I have enjoyed the strength training early a.m. classes; and finally, after about 6 years, a few of the trainers and staff KNOW MY NAME! Nice club with lots of amenities: heated pool, tennis courts, etc. Parking is an issue and the group work out rooms are very small so limited. I went to take a cycling class and discovered you need to sign up 30 minutes before the class, in person, and it can fill up in 5 minutes.
