Nurse Sally is my nurse in building 7 and is always accommodating. She deserves recognition for how she takes the newcomers under her wing. She always gives great advice and shows concern for us in our recovery. She is seriously one of the nicest nurses on the whole team. She never gives attitude and always puts the clients first by treating us with respect like human beings.
My first time in rehab I was very nervous and scared but my admission nurse dre made me feel comfortable and talked me through the process. Even though it was long and took forever, he made sure I was taken care of and helped me understand what was going on so I knew what to expect. he made sure I had hot food and helped me get back to my room so I could start the process. I love the groups that are done by Demetrius the therapist. he hands out certificates weekly which helps with court. He always makes you laugh and feel inspired. I like that his classes are not repetitive and plays video clips to keep people engaged. He is very much like a motivational speaker and it has helped me so much in learning about addiction. he was also in the military and shares about his experiences which is helpful for the vets here.
Geneen my case manager is always friendly and caring. She really gets the job done by helping to be successful when its time to go. She helped me set up my IOP, sober living, and therapist appointments already scheduled so I have a good step down from my treatment. She is very welcoming and made me feel comfortable.
This place has been so friendly, happy and loving. Always a positive experience with staff like Keita. She will make sure that your up in the morning. She provides structure and tells you how it is. She will look out for you if your messing up and will guide you in the right direction. That shows that she really cares and makes this whole experience that much better because structure and guidance is exactly what we need.
The staff has good advice and feedback about personal matters. Tarshae the treatment advocate is amazing at her job. She went out of her way to get me black and milds and she has done that for a lot of people. Not just with smokes, but with other stuff too. She owns up to her stuff and always makes herself available to talk with people when they are feeling down and depressed. She is always telling me how beautiful I am and encouraging me. Staff like her make me want to stay.
Gene the maintenance guy is very friendly and helpful in the mornings when we are all getting ready for class. They give you coffee and you can have your cigarettes, plus they only take your phone for the first 6 days. Building is nice and they have housekeeping and laundry service too. They just switched over to where you cant have your own vapes, but you can buy them through the candy store. Nurse Mark knows how to get things done!! I love that he is so down to earth and funny. I can always count on him to deliver a good one liner and be compassionate in the process. He is easy to talk to and the best multi tasker there is! He keeps things quick and efficient and doesnt play around which is great to know that I have someone I can depend on to follow through during this crazy experience going through treatment.
Mostly everyone treats everybody with respect here. The community and other clients have been instrumental in making me feel comfortable and welcome. I came in very scared and intoxicated. It was not a fun experience. As I went through detox there were certain staff members that went out of their way to spend time with me and make sure I was ok. Tarshae was one of those people.
